what about vietnam? oh i get it american foreign policy blunders... ya we had to bail out another european country yet again... france... can u say dien bien phu... we lost that war at home.. im one of the few who actually agree with our involvement over there. once we left the communists murdered around 5 million people in that region.

It's true that the UK suffered less than some other countries through bombing but nevertheless over a million homes were lost (Coventry lost 60 000 in a night) so it seemed quite a lot at the time.

Personally, I'd relocate England (not wales, Scotland or Eire - no offence, but they don't like us English) right offshore from the Lost island. That place seems like a cool place to be...and there's no frenchies (well, not anymore)...Mind you, there's a whole bunch of Americans, hence why there's been so much shooting and not enough cricket :D

If you want to go on believing that "the world" owes the U.S. a giant slap on the back for WWI and WWII, you're free to wallow in ignorance. :dunno: We Americans owe France and Germany plenty of back slaps for helping us actually become a country in the first place. We owe England a big slap on the back for allowing us to drag them into a foolish costly meaningless series of middle east wars.
