Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer today signed into law an immigration bill that gives the state the toughest law in the nation, making it a state crime to be in the country illegally and requiring local police to enforce federal immigration laws.

Brewer said she signed the bill in response to "the crisis the federal government has refused to fix.''

WAY TO GO JAN BREWER!!! It's about time someone takes a bite out of the crime in our state.

I am for this 100% and it has nothing to do with racial profiling...if you're here illegally...you're committing a CRIME!!!

Yea, we will see how something like this goes over in states like California where all those rich motherfuckers have illegal staff in their homes:2 cents:

About time someone steps up and does this.

The one and only.
Let's take it one step further and shoot them on the spot. That will cut down on immigration,..

People are SCARED of the government, that is why we, as American's, need to step it up a notch and stop the non-sense that is ruining this country!!!

Well someone had to step up.Who knows this could really get the ball rolling but I kow it will be a lot of politics involved and BS:dunno:

Wow, I did not know that it was something like, help me out, a simple offense or what to be in the country without officially asking to be allowed to immigrate.

I think this is really overdue. Those issues must be set on solid and clear terms - if you are in danger of life and safety at your home country, there is hardly a question that you should be okay to immigrate, but if you are just looking for better job perspective or welfare, hell no. That is the way Germany handles it and things go pretty good.

Keep some perspective...nothing is done til it passes the test of time.
Right now a lot of the usual truth warpers (Democrats and Lefties) are yelling how awful it is that Americans are gonna be racially profiled and just pulled over for driving while not white...
The laws currently on the books prohibit unreasonable search...so technically only a broken taillight or a public drunk arrest, etc, can lead to ascertaining citizenship status (like not being able to speak English isn't a sorta clue...!)
But if the law is abused, there will be a repeal of the statue and we will have Otrauma passing massive voter...er...amnesty bills asap with his trained Demotard Congress.
Illegals go home now, while you still have money and new cars.
The tide is turning more and more towards the "old days" when it was a crime to be here illegally and working. Before the Repubs, and then the Demotards, let the economy crash and slave labor was needed to keep us from noticing.
We finally noticed...
Sorta like the rest of the world...no free ride 'cause ya made it across the border.

That is great for AZ now that somewhat puts the pressure on other states, like Texas,Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee.I think it will help in the long run

Tennessee is a border state with Mexico? When did that happen? Am I missing something here? :wtf:

There is, believe it or not, a Mexican population in several states that don't have a border with Mexico...anywhere they could flock to and get along doing jobs Americans won't do (for $6 an hour)...Wisconsin has a big Mexican pop, Tennessee, several others...
Ya don't fit 10,000,000+ illegals in just a few states.

man every state does.
maybe main, doesn't i dont know.
but i believe every state has many many illegal mexicans from what i've seen and been told by people who saw it first hand.

yay for unprecedented police and government intrusion into peoples lives..but seeing as how it's just brown people, then I guess it's A OK.

You now have no right to private property since it is a crime to have an illegal immigrant in your home or in your car. It also cripples much of Arizona's workers by making it a crime to pick up a day laborer... that is it's illegal to stop and pick someone up off the side of the street to hire them regardless of their immigration status.

I think that this will only increase crime since it mandates, under penalty, that police must act as immigration enforcement, taking their time and resources away from domestic crimes that are otherwise their purview.

It also allows police to lie about their law enforcement status (in other words they can arrest you without wearing uniforms and identifying themselves as officers) and they can also make companies hire someone that is undocumented and then arrest them for it, in other words creating a crime that otherwise would not have existed.

It also does away with all 4th amendment rights by enabling officers to arrest anyone under suspicion of being undocumented without a warrant.

So basically police can arrest anyone for any reason, under any pretext as long as it is to ascertain their citizenship status. And you really believe that this will not infringe upon lawful citizens?

And where does the money go from all the new $1,000 fine for being undocumented? It goes to the special new immigration task force, not to local law enforcements that have to do the extra work and not to local economies that are paying their bills.
