At 38, with all the wear-and-tear on his body, and now the rehab ahead, I agree that he is probably done. He may be the G.O.A.T.,16 wins in a row, held the title for a few years. I do think it is funny people are bringing up "karma." Just for fun, has anyone investigated Weidman to see if he has had a titanium plate put in his shin?
I think he could definitely make a return, it happened back in 2008 to a guy called Corey Hill and he is still fighting but he is a few years younger than Silva. Reports suggest 3-6 months rehab and then training on top so he would be almost 40 by the time he would fight again. In opinion Anderson is the greatest MMA fighter of all time going undefeated in the UFC since 2006 winning the Middleweight title in only his 2nd fight and defending it 10 times over 6 years taking non title fights at Light heavyweight and going undefeated until the summer says it all really. The only person who could come close is Jon Jones. Weidman was saying in the post fight press conference that he was working on checking the kick with his knee or just below the knee (where he caught Anderson), apparently his coach even broke a guys leg with it during camp. I know from experience catching that part of someones shin hurts with pads on let alone without, sucks it happened to him but i think he has one more in him.

Just wish the gloves would go away an unfair advantage to strikers. Plus the ability for fighters to protect their hands opens up the repetitive blow injury problems for the future of the sport.

I’m so glad that Conor McGregor got his ass handed to him tonight.What happened after the fight is what he deserved.Everyone is jumping on Khabib for what he did after the fight but he did not hurt innocent people like Conor did in the NYC attack.Conor and his corner had it coming to them.
