Any UFC fans present?

Oooooooooooooeee. Diaz just won't keep his mouth shut. After dodging GSP, he runs his mouth after beating a washed up Penn, saying "I wasn't at 100%. If the fight was 5 rounds, I would have finished Penn in the 4th round". AND "GSP isn't hurt, he's scared to fight me" Apparently GSP freaked out and called Diaz the most disrespectful person he's ever met and he's going to give him a serious asswhooping!!!

Crocop retired and Penn says he's done fighting because he's expecting a child.

Diaz is quickly becoming the Floyd Mayweather of MMA. That dude is so quick to talk shit, and hesitant to fight top notch guys while in their prime. His punk ass will do the dumbest shit in order to get out of fighting as the days get closer, like not show up to the weigh-in or fucking disappear altogether. What's sad is, like Floyd, Diaz is very talented... he's just a punk.

Crocop had a seris of surguries between Pride and coming to the UFC. 2 on the knee and at least 3 on his left ankle, hard to stay at top form.
Plus the horrible rules structure that is now in place in the UFC really does not allow the Best fighter to win these days. First the gloves need to be done away with. It is too much of an advantage in the protection it gives fighters hands. The Gi was taken away because it gave submission fighters a weapon to use. What do you think a 5oz glove does for a world class striker??? The 12 to six elbow rule is so unneeded Its pathetic. Also everytime a guy leaves his face exposed and just puts his hand on the ground thus making knee strikes illegal I puke a little in my mouth. Dana White needs to retire and just MC The Ultimate Fighter. Please let somebody who knows fighting run things for a while. Oh yeah the Diaz brothers are the most exciting fighters in fighting today. They both come to put on a show, fight hard, and never take any part of any round off to breathe or just coast. If they yap a little too much so be it.
Would love to see Sonnen and Evans fight to see which prick would make the stupidest comment prefight. Those two homos would just lay on each other for 3 rounds and snuggle. In high end UFC fights these days it mostly turns into a very poor boxing match as the gloves keep them from over using thier hands and if one of the fighters can get a takedown the referees have been instructed to stand them up because Dana is more about knockouts then true skill because the drunken average joe doesn't have the IQ points to appreciate true martial arts. And it needs more titties damn it.................................................

"Dodging GSP"??? "Hesitant to fight top notch guys"??? What are you two talking about???

Diaz didn't dodge GSP, Dana White took the fight away from him because he didn't show up to a press conference. GSP injured his knee anyway and didn't even end up fighting last night.

As for Diaz not fighting "top notch" guys, considering he has been out of the UFC for 5 years, he has been running over tough guys who aren't in the UFC. Robbie Lawler (who's a middleweight), Takanori Gomi (who was considered to be a top 3 lightweight at the time), Paul Daley, Scott Smith, and others. He's on an 11 fight win streak, during which he has been destroying his opponents. He just beat the shit out of BJ Penn, who is not "washed up", considering he just fought Jon Fitch to a draw, and KO'd Matt Hughes in 20 seconds.

Nick Diaz isn't anything like Floyd Mayweather either. Diaz doesn't constantly brag about how great he is and how much money he has like mayweather does. Diaz does talk trash and he does say some idiotic things sometimes, but he is fairly humble most of the time.

As for Diaz saying GSP is "scared to fight him", he is probably right. GSP can't strike with Diaz. GSP is just going to use his wrestling in order to hold Diaz down, stay on top, and do enough to win a decision. GSP isn't going to do anything more than that. He doesn't fight to finish people. If GSP can't blanket Diaz and hold him down the whole fight then Diaz is going to beat him.

Ok Ok. Dodging, purposefully missing press conferences, one after the other, after Dana White warns him....same thing. Basically what I'm trying to say is, Diaz needs to man the fuck up, put his money where his mouth is, quit crying about press conferences and fight GSP. It's simple. He had a chance to fight GSP and threw it away, then he wants to say GSP is scared? :1orglaugh

Diaz is a weirdo. He said he didn't even know it was a press conference. Plus he apparently has "issues" with anxiety and doesn't like doing press and being the center of attention. I seriously doubt he skipped the press conference because he wanted to get out of the fight with GSP. He's been talking about fighting GSP for years. And Diaz has never not shown up to a fight.

As for GSP, FUCK HIM! He is boring as shit. He doesn't fight to finish people, he fights to win decisions. He lays on people. He knows that if he spends the majority of the fight laying on top of his opponent that the judges will score the fight his way. I fall asleep watching him fight. He makes me sorry I spent money on PPV fights that he is on. If he actually tried to really fight Diaz, instead of wrestling him, he would lose. Plain and simple.

What about 'jumped out of a window and ran' is difficult to grasp? Diaz literally did this on the day of the weight after his trainer had to track him down. Who has Diaz ever fought that wasn't over the hill or brutally knocked out? One can argue KJ Noons, but he isn't even UFC level.

Penn: Long been finished
Daley: Been smashed on a few occasions
Santos: Wounded warrior, and even he kicked Diaz's ass before he gassed out.
Sakurai: I could beat him nowadays

Before that Zaromskis, Scott Smith, Frank Shamrock, 'Wildman' Denny... GET FUCKING REAL!!! What makes you think he's ready for GSP who has been BEATING top comp while Diaz has been slumming it. Diaz is shook and he needs to stop running from Jason Miller before he should even be considered for GSP. The only time you confronted Mayhem is when you Gilbert Melendez and your brother with you on some punk shit. Diaz needs to sit the fuck down and keep GSP's name out his mouth, especially when he ain't gonna do shit.

I'm not saying Diaz is scared, but its kind of hypocritical to call GSP scared when Diaz is the one at fault for the non fight.

As for GSP, ya his style is boring, but he wins. And goes to press conferences. And let's his game do the talking for him.

I like the shit talking in UFC. I like when fighters legitimately don't like each other. But all this non sense Diaz is saying is laughable. Could he beat GSP? For sure. But I hope he gets his ass beat and experiences humility for the first time in his life.

Also, respect to Condit for stepping aside to let this fight happen on Super Bowl Sunday. Hopefully.

Farewell to BJ if Saturday was his final fight, he will definitely go down as an ATG

BJ Penn has not "long been finished". You sir, are a fucking moron. BJ is a lightweight who just fought the number 2 welterweight in the world to a draw (arguably beat him) just a few months ago. He still probably ranks in the top 3 at 155 and could arguably be considered a top 10 welterweight as well.

As for Diaz not fighting Miller, C'mon dude, Miller is a middleweight. Diaz is much smaller than him. I'm sure if Miller would cut to 170, and the UFC would be willing to make the fight happen, then Diaz would fight him. But Diaz isn't going to fight Miller at 185. If he did, Miller would have a 30 pound weight advantage over him by the time they fought.

As for GSP, fuck him. He is almost as boring to watch as Jon Fitch. He doesn't fight, he stalls. He holds people down and stalls the action. Then the dumbass judges score the rounds for him because he stays on top the whole time. If Diaz can stay off of his back when they fight then GSP will get TKO'd. He can't match Diaz's pace for 5 rounds. And we all know GSP doesn't have a good chin.

Dude, seriously... Penn's last significant win came in 2009. He beat a way over the hill Matt Hughes and everything else since the Diego fight has been a loss or a draw, but I'm a moron? Be for real.

And say what you want about the pace and style GSP fights, but he wins with it. You must be sick if you think Diaz is gonna make it to the 5th round giving up as may strikes as Penn and Santos were able to hit him with. BTW, why are you conveniently ignoring the fact that GSP murdered a much fresher and better BJ Penn, while Diaz went the distance with a Penn ready for retirement.

Like I said, look who GSP is beating and look who Diaz is beating. GSP is beating the likes of Shields, Koscheck, Alves, and Hardy... the best fighters out. Diaz is beating the all-has-been team.

We'll see. Diaz actually fights. He looks to finish people and does. GSP just throws jabs and lays on people so he can win on points.

You're a front-running mma fan. GSP is the champ so you like him. BJ Penn isn't the champ anymore so you think he sucks. You don't give him any credit at all for facing the best fighters out there and for stepping up to fight the top guys in a heavier weight class. He lost twice to Frankie Edgar by close decision, and he fought a MUCH bigger fighter in Jon Fitch to a draw. Yet you shit all over him and call him washed up. Then you have the nerve to call Thiago Alves and Dan Hardy "the best fighters out". Hardy is on a 4 fight losing streak and has never beaten anyone worth mentioning besides Mike Swick. Hardy never should've gotten a title shot in the first place. And Thiago has lost 3 out of 4, the last one to Rick fucking Story for gods sake.

And what makes you think that Diaz won't make it to the 5th round with GSP? GSP hasn't finished anyone in years. He couldn't even finish Dan Hardy and he fucking sucks. Diaz is WAAAAAY better than Dan hardy.

There you go assuming again, and once again you're wrong. I do not like GSP... but I do like him to beat Diaz. I look at it like this: Diaz needs to finish GSP to win. St. Pierre does not need to finish Diaz to win, and he can. GSP has unquestionably had the better quality victories, and has proven to be the best among them. Other than that, he is far from my favorite fighter. I agree, he doesn't finish guys, but there is more to it than that... he wins, and you cannot just look over that fact because he doesn't put guys away in exciting fashion. Nick Diaz has a history of flaking out that also can't be ignored. As far as B.J. goes, he has had one good performance since he fought Diego Sanchez in '09. Penn has not been top notch. Period. I loved B.J. Penn when he was at the top of his game, but unlike 'front-runner' fans, I'm not hanging on to the distant past to determine how good a fight is now (shout out to Cro Cop fans).

Marlo Manson

Hello Sexy girl how your Toes doing?
::Micheal Buffers' voice:: "Its Time, for the main event, etc.." I love that guys voice, it gives me chills everytime he announces a fight! In fact his intro for the fight was more exciting than the fight itself! what a sham! the anticipation and build up was even more exciting than the fight. Sure Dos Santos delivered a stunning KO thats great, thats the way you wanna win a fight, but 64 seconds into the fight? There damn lucky that garbage of a fight was free on national television instead of pay / view. I usually don't like too think the worst and give this kind of stuff the benefit of doubt, but it almost seemed like a fixed fight. I know it probably wasn't, and I hope to gawd it wasn't, but the so called "baddest man on the planet" gets KO'd by the 1st solid punch Santos threw??? and i know it hit him in the side of the head behind or by the ear. but FFS C'mon that was brutal IMO. Kimbo Slice would have given Dos Santos a better fight FFS! I know Cain Velasquez is world class fighter but got damn that was terrible showing and a pretty shitty event!! :2 cents:

BAYAMONXXX

Land Of The Snakes
I had a feeling the fight was going too end quickly. Cain should of taken the fight too the ground. standing toe to toe w/ Dos Santos was a stupid move. Cain thru some punches but IMO he looked timid. Dos Santos rocked Cain. and like when a shark smells blood in the water. he went for the kill.

Congrats to Dos Santos

I think where Fox failed is that they didn't show the undercard, they hyped it up, and then the fight sucked. Props to Dos Santos, though!

I agree. They should have shown more fights, especially in a sport where the risk of a match ending so soon exist.
