Any UFC fans present?

There's no doubt that James Toney is one of the best BOXER in history and yes, JT will never shut up but then again he has NO bragging rights. Dana, Randy and UFC 118 will certainly remind him of that constantly every-time he tries to talk trash about MMA. JT signed the UFC contract and he surely was told of the MMA fight rules. JT even hired a combat-defense specialist to help him prepare against Randy but still got embarrassed. According to one of Couture's trainers, JT is still under contract with the UFC which makes him (JT) an open target for all the UFC fighters. If you claim that JT has never been knocked out and you want more of a stand-up fight...I look forward whenever Dana decide to pit James Toney against Mirco Crocop. That's a very interesting MMA fight in a striker's point of view. :fight:

I also agree that pure boxers has no business being in the UFC, Royce Gracie made it already known of that fact when he made boxer Art Jimmerson tap out in UFC 1 back in Nov 93.
SF8 :2 cents:

Who the F*#% is Art Jimmerson???

Anyways, the fact that JT has never been knocked out is just that... FACT. JT is in a no win position here because no MMA fighter will stand and bang with him, it just won't happen. At 42, its just too late for JT to develop the skill necessary for ground defense and BJJ tactics. Any MMA heavyweight that chooses to stand up against Toney and throw hands WILL GET KNOCKED THE F*#% OUT!!!

GUARANTEED.

BTW: I'd put money down that boxing champ Andre Berto could and would be the first legit boxer to beat an MMA fighter.

Anybody looking forward to UFC 119?
The card looks pretty good and the UFC 121 card looks even better.

And Couture vs Toney is probably 1 of the most horrible MMA fights that ive seen.
Toney looked liked a handicapped kid getting beat up by his dad.

I felt sorry for James, he shouldn't have been in the octagon in the 1st place.

Hello Sexy girl how your Toes doing?
Vitor Belfort has asked to fight Toney in a 6 round boxing match to be held in the octagon.

I don't really know anything about the guy so I googled Vitor and despite being 9 yrs younger than Toney, if Toney committed to train like he did in his prime and really gets in shape for the challenge should he accept it, I wouldn't be betting on Belfort. :2 cents:

James "lights out" Toney signed the UFC contract and its his job to get in shape and prepare for any UFC fighter that Dana puts in front of him. Vitor "the phenom" Belfort provides a very interesting stand-up fight in the octagon and I presume, under boxing rules. Vitor has been trained in the past by Al Stankie, the man who trained Oscar De La Hoya to attain Olympic gold. There's no question about Vitor's MMA skills with a BJJ black-belt from the late Carlson Gracie Jr. Al Stankie has highly praised Vitor's boxing/punching skills with a KO power that took the lights out of Wanderlei "the Axe Murderer" Silva and Rich "Ace" Franklin in the past. Now, will Dana consider a stand-up match between the two in the octagon and not under UFC/MMA rules is another thing?

dude, sonnen was clearly the better fighter that night. both fighters had heart. if it hard for you to admit it , it's ok silva got his ass whupped and who are you to tell me i don't know anything about the sport?. i've been watching mma for over 10 years.
btw stop following me you only post in here because i did proof you "qouted" both of my posts. but that doesn't mean you don't have a right to post in here. if you can't say anything nice to me then do not say anything at all

I guess we see why and he still lost. How embarrassing is that...cheat and still get beat.:rofl2::1orglaugh I wonder how this will affect Sonnen's political career.

Officials: UFC's Sonnen has positive steroids test

By GREG BEACHAM, AP Sports Writer Greg Beacham, Ap Sports Writer – Wed Sep 22, 4:20 pm ET
LOS ANGELES – The California State Athletic Commission suspended UFC middleweight title contender Chael Sonnen for one year on Wednesday after revealing he tested positive for steroids following a loss to Anderson Silva last month in Oakland.

CSAC executive officer George Dodd said Sonnen's drug test revealed an abnormally high testosterone-to-estrogen level, an indicator of steroid use. A second test showed similar results.

"The use of anabolic steroids and other banned substances are not tolerated by the commission," Dodd said. "Anabolic agents put the health and safety of both the user and his opponents at risk."

The suspension casts a pall on memories of perhaps the UFC's most exciting fight of the year to date. Sonnen was a trash-talking underdog who improbably controlled the first four rounds of his fight against Silva, but lost to the long-reigning middleweight champion on a dramatic fifth-round choke at UFC 117 in Oakland's Oracle Arena.

The suspension squashes the UFC's plans to match Sonnen against Silva in a rematch early next year. Steroid-related suspensions in mixed martial arts and boxing typically are honored by other states' athletic commissions, and the UFC won't schedule suspended fighters for new bouts.

UFC 121
Cain Velasquez destroyed Brock Lesner in the 1st round. hopefully he knocked those 3rd person references out of him.

After UFC 121, I watched some of ESPN's MMA Live afterwards. The commentators were praising Cain's capturing the UFC's HW Championship title and also mentioning how Brock did not like to get hit. Their comments about Brock's action draws comparison to Mark Kerr's dislike of being hit who abruptly bowed out of MMA.

brock is a confidence fighter, once he gets hit he turtles up. once he has a takedown stuffed or his apponent gets up immediatly , he gives up. he is an actor , a wwe wrestler, not a fighter. the guys in the ufc were born for this and they spend the majority of their lives training to get to the top unlike brock. he starts training mma in his thirties and gets on the main event in the ufc based on the fact that he is a household name

You know that "actor" beat up Frank Mir, Randy Couture, Heath Herring and Shane Carwin. That "actor" was also a world class wrestler before he went to WWE. If he's not a real fighter, what does that say about all the guys he beat?

Anyway.

Can Velasquez vs Junior Dos Santos is going to be a fight for the ages. I can't wait. This heavyweight division is becoming just as deep as the light heavyweight division.

it was hilarious how brock's was spining around in the ring.:1orglaugh

brock need a better striking game.
