I heard he spontaneously combusted after listening to some of the trash today using his stuff.
I blame the "Rock God" kid.
Hey!....Don't knock 60's robot phone. He's pretty cool unlike Cock Pod.oh no, not that dick again.
whats kinda funny is they are showing off how the phone can talk to you, but that thing still sounds like a 60's robot.

Never heard of him.
Probably a "HiWatt". They must have put it there for Pete. As far as that "slayer stack", it looks bad as hell, but you do realize that only a couple are actually plugged in, or they're for about 6 different guitars. All of that sound is really coming from the pa system, and you never hear the amps at a concert.
Tube amps don't really have distortion, they have "overdrive". which technically DOES distort the signal, but a distortion pedal creates a different, more "heavy metal" sound. They both have a great purpose though.
I think this says it all 'Heavens just got a whole lot louder' :angels:
Yeah! I used to be in a band with a fellow guitarist, he was of the Stratocaster & Marshall kind, and I had a Les Paul and a Fender Primceton Chorus.
Playing along a guy who has an amp that does not originally feature a master volume to handle distortion on middle volume levels can be a pain in the ass
Talking of pains in the arse, years and years ago I saw The Cure at a warm up gig for the Wish Tour at the Town and Country Club in Kentish Town. A tiny little place with sticky floors. It was packed and as I couldn't see I ended up sitting on Simon Gallup's speaker stack. Their manager said I could sit there as my arse stopped the leads being pulled out! Having Simon Gallup's bass going right up through me was better than any vibrator I've ever used :drool1:Yeah! This is far from accurate. Real heavy metal sound comes from tube amplifiers, only poor people and kids use distortion pedals. Some might add a subtle overdrive pedal like a tube screamer to the mix, but it is certainly commonplace to get all the overdrive needed from a high output pickup and a tube amp. RIP Jim.
It is not far from accurate. You make valid points, but what I posted is true. There is no part of my post that states, no heavy metal guitarists use tube overdrive, I merely stated the 2 are very different, and sound nothing alike. But, I would bet my last dollar, most heavy metal guitarists...TRUE metal guitarist, uses JUST tube distortion....and Metallica isn't what I consider heavy metal.
