Amplifier pioneer dies at 88

Jim Marshall, the creator of what is probably the second most recognizable image of rock and roll, only surpassed by the Les Paul, has died at 88 years of age. In my opinion, a good portion of the music many of us know and love, would not sound like it does, without his miraculous creation.

You're telling us, you've never heard of a Marshall stack, or Marshall tube amps?

idiot.

anyway, marshalls are bad ass. they basically gave the pedal a run for its money. some amazing distortions came straight out of a marshall.

ive never owned one, but played on them. i use roland/boss normally.

Of course I've heard of Marshall amps, I just didn't know that the founder was a Jim or was even still with us before yesterday.
