Initially I was thinking that we were simply going to fly a dozen or so sorties with C-130's loaded with ''daisy cutter'' pallets and/or maybe a dozen flybys with the AC-130 ''Spectre'' gunship and that would be the end of it, but apparently Bean-Laden wasn't so easy of a target as estimated . . . or at least that's what they tell us . . . . and here we are today . . .:dunno:
Not a chance. It would have taken longer without our involvement, but the Soviets would have beaten Hitler straight up, and beaten him badly.
The one "x" factor is how far Germany's nuclear program might have gotten given that extra time. So in that sense it's a very good thing we helped accelerate an allied victory.

OK nobody should ever listen to the Generals who actually run the war and who write presumably false reports and instead we should just listen to journalists who write about the conflict from the comfort of their offices in Washington and quote unnamed sources to support their claims.

The best way of getting the US out of the Middle East is to find an alternative source of energy to oil. Once we don't need their oil, we will pull out of there and let them do whatever they want to each other.
It would be nice if the government created some incentives for US businesses to find something that can replace the internal combustion engine. Notice I didn't say that it would be nice if the government was the one who was put to the job. All the government needs to do is give US businesses, scientists, and inventors some incentive, and get out of their way by easing up on all the bureaucratic rules and regulations. This is the surest way to cease our dependence on foreign oil and to get our young men out of that cesspool known as the Middle East.

The West would not have remained under German control if america hadn't intervened; Nobody takes on the Russians in a land war and prevails. The Japanese only managed it because the war was primarily naval.
Well I'm both pleased and upset that you can't find it.
It would be the perfect clip for this, but if you found it and I didn't I'd feel foolish (more so than usual).

europe without the economic competition of america might be better today, but being no economist I don't know, so, just as far as WW2 is concerned, yes, your point stands, Europe would be worse today without the us (in WW2).
