Oregon with 27 points in the first quarter? That team is fucking boss.

it looks that way huh? but..it has looked that way before for oregon. they dont stop pounding till they reach 75. i think that may be their problem. by the time they get to a big game they have already showed everything they have. the qb should have been on the bench the whole second half but i noticed the 2nd string qb had 1 pass 1 att. they must have waited till the 2 minute mark to put him in. Clemson is the team that keeps flashing at me. they have 2 rockets and a army tank. and i think their defense is solid. i wasnt to sure georgia could beat lsu. but seeings how they did... it made clemson look even stronger. is this the ol one loss at the end of the year cranking up? lol

I do have to agree with that, they certainly show their hand during the season. I really like Clemson but there will be a couple games they have to get by before I have faith in them (Florida State, South Carolina), its been a while since they were a Top 5 team.

couldnt agree more...more times than two clemson has come out like a werewolf and folded up. but when they turned back georgia and that offense i knew they was for real this time. i knew that one game was going to mean more as the season went on if it played out like i think it may. that game made clemson think they can beat anyone...and it may have made georgia stronger. bottom line..clemson thinks they can beat fla st and south carolina now. at the moment they look as balanced as anyone. we will see what oregon is made of...they got wasington coming up soon. if they win that game 60 points they got my attention

ASU beats USC in Tempe last night. Trojans fly home. Haden fires Kiffin in the wee hours, right after they arrive. CLASSIC! :ban:

Mack Brown is next. They'll lose to Oklahoma and I'd be surprised if they finish above .500. Earl Campbell only repeated what I said 2 years ago, Mack is done.

Replacing Lane Kiffin is easy. A monkey, an empty clipboard, a dog turd, three rocks and a dildo. All are smarter and better at coaching than Lane Kiffin will ever dream of being. Replacing Mack Brown? Well, he had his good years, but the fact that he can't get blue chip talent into the richest football program in the NCAA is problematic, now isn't it? I have no doubt that Brown will probably "resign" after yet another horribly embarrassing loss to Oklahoma. But the question remains, who will be in those posts next year? Forget Saban for Texas. He's egotistical enough to secretly want to win national titles at 3 schools, but as he said, his age prohibits rebuilding, and Texas is in for some lean rebuilding years before they return to prominence. USC, with all their scholarship problems, also will have problems getting a new coach. Who wants to coach a team that can recruit the best California has to offer, but not enough to provide any real depth? It should be interesting.

Saban says a lot of things, but no one but Saban knows if he's speaking the truth, or just telling people what they want to hear.

Bear in mind that Saban once said he has no interest in maintaining a program. He would much rather build a champion. Add in the fact that Mark Emmert won't be able to sweep Bama's latest violations under the rug and it is possible that Texas might make a run at him. If not Saban, I expect it will be someone who will open up the offense with the no-huddle approach. This will attract the top QB's. Look what Kevin Sumlin has done in a short time at A&M. This is one reason why Mack Brown still has his job, A&M bolted for the SEC and dropped the Longhorns from their schedule.

As for Mack Brown retiring, I suppose it's possible, but the question is, will his ego get in way. Bobby Bowden's did and Florida State suffered for it before they forced him out.

USC's woes can't all be placed on Lane Kiffin's shoulders. Yes, he's not that good a coach, but take away 30 scholarships from any program and that program is gonna go thru lean times. I expect USC will take the same approach with an offensive mind. Playing against Oregon, you're gonna have to put up a lot of points against them, because you're certainly not keep them from scoring.

I watched the Cal @ Oregon game and quit watching in the 2nd quarter. Ducks in the rain, no, a driving monsoon with the ground game they have. If that's isn't a home field advantage, as if they needed any more advantages. The one thing that concerns me about Mariota is his accuracy. His completion percentage is down significantly from last year and I've seen him off target on alot of throws, a couple of them sure TDs.

On a side note, I DVR games sometimes because of my schedule and I'll usually FFWD between plays but with Oregon it's not needed. It's football in FFWD.

I had the privilege of getting to watch the Ducks practice last year, and when Chip Kelly and Mark Helfrich say they practice faster than they play in games, they're not exaggerating. However, that doesn't mean it can't be slowed down. If you have a good enough D line to create penetration into lanes, and the D backfield is disciplined enough to play true zones, it throws the Dock offense out of rhythm big time. (Last year's Stanford game is a prime example.) and yes, it's a lot easier said than done. Not even Saban wants a piece of that... LOL

No he does not!

Saban lobbied the NCAA to have the no-huddle offenses banned. When that failed, he lobbied for a rule change to slow it down. Another fail. He whined that these type offenses promote injuries, but the truth is, he doesn't know how to defend it.

If you want to slow down a no-huddle offense, Gus Malzahn said it best; You got timeouts, use 'em!

On that note, did anyone see that score from a high school game in Wisconsin last week.

At the end of the 1st quarter, the score was 8 -7. At the end of the game, the final score was: 84 - 82

Now, that is a football game that I would like to watch!

One of the reasons why if my Buckeye's are in the national title, I would rather play Alabama than Oregon.

I still see us losing to both teams, I just don't see as much of a blow out against Bama.

Celebrate while you can. Another instance of rule breaking hit the papers today, and from all the talk going around, all the Bama fans I know are terrified the NCAA is gonna take 2 of those trophies back!

Isn't it funny, though, how the teams that "self report" are usually treated with a lot more, for lack of a better word, mercy, by the NCAA than teams like USC and Ohio St.. Oregon got a tap on the wrist and a pat on the back last summer, and I suspect 'Bama will too.

Onto important things... Like him or hate him, Saban is the best coach in college football. Only Urban Meyer comes close. However, there are LOTS of weaknesses on Alabama's team this year. And I think their incredibly weak schedule will come back to haunt them later on. Same could very well happen to Oregon as well. Colorado scared them for a quarter last night, and Colorado ain't anywhere near the top of the Pac 12. Georgia had too much trouble with a very weak Tennessee team and Clemson beat a team they were supposed to... surprise, surprise. Unfortunately for Ohio St., the rest of their conference sucks beyond sucking, so they're going to have to hope the Pac 12 and SEC have some upsets. Overall, an interesting season so far. Finally we're out of the Alabama vs. Tennessee St. School for Wayward Girls part of the schedule. Now they really have to play.

If the Clinto Dix situation were the only problem facing Bama, I would agree they would probably only get that wrist slap, but add in the Luther Davis situation reported by Yahoo, rumors going around that several more players may be involved in that, also add that jackass Bama booster alledgedly connected with trying to get Johnny Manziel ruled ineligible, and things could get downright gloomy in Tuscaloosa.

I don't know if I would go so far as calling Saban the best "coach".

Anyhow, as for those squeeker games, don't start spreading the word that those teams are not as good as people think. Take Georgia for example; They probably went into that game thinking about how Tennessee fell on hard times, still hasn't recovered, we won't need much to beat them, and then the Vols come out and play like they're in the National Championship. Every team does this at times, and Bama is the absolute worst, but they pull it out. An ugly win is still a win and no one counts "moral" victories.

Fla st has the best arm they have had in my lifetime. they may not win another game? but they have the best arm at qb ever in my time. you WILL see him on sunday soon. that is all i got now. to be continued........... one more thing....he dont have wheels like johnny autograph....but he may have the best arm in the ncaa now. but...after ALL that...i am still sipping clemson tea..............

Why in the world would you be sipping Clemson tea? Look at who they've played:

Georgia ........ 38-35 - first game against a team that lost the bulk of their defense from last year
S Carolina St .. 52-13 - cupcake game
NC State ....... 26-14 - This should have been a blowout!
Wake Forest .... 56-7 -- cupcake game
Syracuse ....... 49-14 - cupcake game

Only 1 real test and Clemson's rushing attack is ranked 66th in the nation.

I'm not impressed.
