Three lullabies in an ancient tongue
Did anyone else see the Pittsburgh-South Florida game on ESPN tonight? I thought it would be a lot closer than it was, and I never thought Pittsburgh would step up their game like they did. I was impressed actually.

Ahem....I picked 'em to win. :D ;)

This is incorrect. Check your facts. UA is not the only team who has beat the University of Florida in Gainesville.

Dude....I was just making a casual point about their dominance in Gainesville, not claiming historical fact. Lighten up.

This is just so stupid. Politicians in the Texas legislature are trying to make it a LAW that Texas & Texas A&M must play each other on Thanksgiving weekend every year.

The Texas legislature.... Fuck A&M....let 'em go. We don't need them. Besides, the Texas-OU game is way more important.

I have to hand it to the Buckeyes' D. But the O-line was a fraggin' joke. Dantonio coached us well. Nine sacks is a helluva deal.

Congrats to Sparty! Great D! Lousy O, I expected more from Cousins! Bucks are terrible!

So Notre Dame beat the only ranked team it played outright. N.D. has looked strong recently. One of the teams to which they lost is now ranked pretty high, and looks strong for the season.

Do they get ranked next week?

Edit: lol Florida at home. That's a hard game for me. I desperately want both teams to lose. I really want Alabama to lose just so I don't have to read more roll tide shit from smoknn, but how awesome is it when Florida loses at home?

I'm torn.

The one and only.
Fucking unbelievable. I went to every Purdue home game from 1998-2007. Never missed one. After tonight, I don't know when I'll go back, and I have free fucking tickets. A piss poor effort on offense. A piss poor effort on defense. An all all around ass beating from Notre Dame. It was fucking pathetic. Whatever happened to being the cradle of quarterbacks?

I'd rather have my fingernails pulled out with pliers and than lose to ND. Fuck that. I'm cold. I'm tired. And I'm drunk. Fuck Purdue.

I'm going to bed.

just me, but Ohio State i think needs to start Braxton Miller full time and let him develope, he is the quarterback of the future right now but the future is now for that team. Joe Bauserman is not going to be leading them to big things anytime soon....Now is a good time anyway with the suspensions about to end.

Well, Auburn's defense finally showed up, but the offense looked pitiful.

Still, those problems can be blamed on poor coaching (Chizik). Auburn's QB, Barrett Trotter is horrible. Against SC, it seemed like he was either throwing interceptions, being sacked, or running for his life. Chizik needs to wake up and give Kiehl Frazier a chance. In the QB spot, he looks a LOT like Cam Newton as far as running the ball. Trotter is just too slow. As for passing, I don't know how good Frazier is since Chizik won't let him throw, at all. I suppose Chizik is like most coaches. He'd rather start a junior or senior over a freshman, even when it's perfectly obvious the freshman is a far better player.

If that's not bad enough, Michael Dyer is the second best RB in the SEC and he's not even the starter.

I picked Auburn to win this one, but next week, Arkansas, the team they always have problems with, so, unless Chizik takes his head outta his ass, next week could be embarrassing for Auburn.

Bama will have no problem winning their next two, and then Tennessee should be a light warmup for their November date with LSU, who plays Florida next week. That should be an interesting game.

Boise State beat the only team they lost to in 2010. As they will be going on probation, and not playing any strong competition for the rest of the year, Boise should win out.

Does anyone else think Clemson has a shot at the NC game? They had probably the best recruiting class of 2011 and it's starting to show. They could very well win out. Stay tuned...

Wisconsin pounded Nebraska. They could very well go undefeated.

With all this, we could very well have a scenario of 4 (maybe more?) teams going undefeated. I hope it happens, so the BCS will yet again be exposed for what it is; a joke.

It's time for a playoff!!!

Boise has to go through the Mountain west conference which is no cakewalk despite its status as a non-AQ conference. they play SDSU on the road, Air Force makes it tough on everyone, TCU is still TCU...the rankings may not be there but the competition is more stiff than anyone thinks.

Alabama has future pros all over its defense, they are that good, and the running combo of Trent Richardson and Eddie Lacey is dynamic

The Big ten is down this season, this is the year if there was one for Wisconsin to dominate, i could even see them blowing out Michigan in the championship if the Wolverines can hold it together.

Clemson has impressed me big time, the last 3 games have been a gauntlet and they survived with ease.

LSU could be a spoiler in all this

give us 4 teams to pick from.........

I would say that it's possible for six teams to go undefeated:

Clemson
Stanford
Wisconsin
Boise State
Alabama or LSU
Oklahoma or Oklahoma State

Five of these will have to lose at least one game for Boise to be in the NC, but I don't see that happening.

The same goes for Clemson as they started the season unranked.

My first impression is the SEC champ vs the Big 12 champ, but if one of those champs end up with a loss somewhere else, Standford and/or Wisconsin could slip into the title game.

If it does come down to SEC vs Big 12, I would go with the SEC. However, SEC vs Wisconsin or Stanford, would be interesting. Bama & LSU are probably the best defenses in the country and Wisconsin & Stanford are two of the best offenses.

I'd love to see six undefeated teams. The pressure for a playoff after that would be huge! Let's hope it happens.

my team to watch this year is michigan...if they find somethig to add to that rocket they have at qb...it could get ugly...and they are returing 9 starters on offense...at the end of the year br may be in the top 5 for rushing yards..getting beat up on bAD by miss st at the end of last year..i get the feelin.. they may come out like a bull out of the stall michigan may break the top 10 by mid season we will see
<<(9 1 2011)..they get better every week..georgia has come a long way since the first game

Well Titsrock you were right, Mississippi State is :baconsalt: :1orglaugh
Big falloff from last year. Too bad, they looked like a team on the rise.

Mega, Michigan is looking pretty decent. At the very least they're better than the mediocre Dirk and I predicted. Still a pretty challenging road ahead, although they catch a big break not having to play Wisconsin.

So Notre Dame beat the only ranked team it played outright. N.D. has looked strong recently. One of the teams to which they lost is now ranked pretty high, and looks strong for the season.

Do they get ranked next week?

Oh no Dirk, don't tell us you fell off the wagon?

Didn't you state you'd never watch another one of their games?

We were all so proud of you for finally giving up on the Domers, but in light of your renewed interest..... :ban:
