College football and the NCAA are a complete sham. It irritates the hell out of me...
I actually don't root for teams or watch the games, I only root for all of the players to sell whatever they can and get as much gifts and swag as possible.

The think I hate most of all about this exact time of year....the tic-toc and flippin' "coach-speak".:cussing:

The bastards don't really say dick and paying for content on rivals or scout is lunacy.

Sample Rivals.com premium article. (FICKTIONAL 'ACCOUNT'!! Don't want to sign in tomorrow to fined out I've been band..)

RB Johnny Doe Speaks!

(Inside the article)

Johnny Doe - Uh, yeah...I had a good run in today's practice and we're just trying to do what the coaches tell us.

Miami (OH) at Missouri (Not as easy as you think....)
Kent St. at Alabama
Tennessee Tech at Iowa (Lol we're seriously picking this one?)
Indiana St. at Penn St. (Ditto)
Middle Tennessee at Purdue (I don't think even Purdue could fuck this one up)
Appalachian St. at Virginia Tech (Watch out for David Wilson this year....dark-horse Doak Walker candidate)
USF at Notre Dame (Close one, but BJ Daniels figures out a way to throw the game away)
Western Michigan at Michigan (Slow start for UM, even game at halftime, then the Wolverines pull away)
Minnesota at USC (If USC wasn't on probation, they'd have a decent shot at the Pac-12 title)
UCLA at Houston (Should be a good one)
UL-Monroe at Florida St. (Isn't that the same team that beat Alabama in Saban's first year?)
Chattanooga at Nebraska
BYU at Ole Miss (BYU finished last year strongly after a terrible start....Heaps is for real)
San Jose St. at Stanford
Montana at Tennessee (Orange scum will be improved this year)
FAU at Florida
UL-Lafayette at Oklahoma St. (If they swapped coaches with OU, they, not OU, would be the runaway favorites in the Big XII)
East Carolina vs. South Carolina
Fresno St. vs. California (David Carr's lil bro starts on the right foot)
Oregon vs. LSU (If LSU wins, smoknn ain't gonna let us hear the end of it with his SEC spew.....)
Boise St. vs. Georgia (Aaron Murray = dark-horse Heisman candidate. Heard it here first)
Tulsa at Oklahoma (GJ Kinne has the worst game of his underrated career)
Marshall at West Virginia (Geno Smith is the bomb)
SMU at Texas A&M (Closer than you think)
Miami at Maryland (I really don't think the Canes are gonna implode like everyone thinks this year)

My 'cuz I feel like it' picks: Texas comfortably over Rice, Colorado over Hawaii in a fantastic high-scoring affair.

Props to Jagger, as always

Looking at this it makes me sad so many places schedule cupcake teams to play against and pretty much get extra home games out of it no less. There is a reason so many people are picking the home teams.

Oh, now you're an expert on Boise State? Please just stop now. Restrict yourself to having us try to make sense out of your SEC Bama garble. That's hard enough to do. And it's about all I can take and by I I mean everyone with a brain.

im not a expert on much of nothing..but i been pretty damn close the last 2 years i have picked your national champions (look back at the old threads)..and georgia may not be enuff..but anyone who watched football knows who carried boise the last few years..they may walk into a bees nest in hotlanta!i hope georgia gets their over rated ass out of the way early this year..its ashamed they couldnt have been matched against auburn bama or lsu..or even miss st....by the middle of the year you will see this post again..maybe by then you can read it:wave2:and..i dont remember flagging you down to read my post...its great to be in the SEC

my team to watch this year is michigan...if they find somethig to add to that rocket they have at qb...it could get ugly...and they are returing 9 starters on offense...at the end of the year br may be in the top 5 for rushing yards..getting beat up on bAD by miss st at the end of last year..i get the feelin.. they may come out like a bull out of the stall michigan may break the top 10 by mid season we will see

Yeah, others are saying the same thing.

I think Michigan will be uninteresting again this year. Mediocre at best.

the thing with Wisconsin is that they have an offense that is going to put a ton of points, two great runningbacks, a good reciever and a quarterback who is a proven talent.....Defense looks like its going to be what will hold them back if they falter

They have always had good runningback play. And it's mainly due to the great blockers they've had over the years. How many of the runningbacks ever amounted to anything? I can think of one great year Michael Bennett had in the NFL with Minnesota (who btw also had a real good line), that's it. They are the Denver Broncos of college football.

I do think Wisconsin is a strong looking team, the Big Ten favorite. Don't read into this game at all though, UNLV has 1 or 2 wins in 'em this year, that's it.

Go Bama and Tigers, yea I am from AL

You can't do that. That's like me saying "Go Longhorns and Aggies". You can't be a true fan of either program if you root for both of them IMO.

Especially if you're from the state of Alabama.

I was born and raised in Bama and every time that I've ever asked someone here who's your team, Alabama or Auburn, if the response is both, or neither one, my next question has always been, "Your not from Alabama, are you?". Every time, the answer has always been the same, "No."

WAR EAGLE!
