Germany is imploding! :kaboom: :thefinger

Have you been drinking, TR? :nono:

The Germans had a bad day against Serbia. Not very cleverly played by Klose. Plain stupidity on Podolski's side. Rather poor managing by Löw. They can beat Ghana though. Ghana has a wacky defense and hapless strikers. Both their goals were penalties. The German team is in much better shape than England and France.

I'm more curious what happens with Brazil if my Ivory guys can pull a stunt tonight. :D

And Anelka has been suspended from the last match. Seems like France has fired the wrong man. The worst thing that can happen there is if they sneak through with a win against South Africa.

Cameroun 1-2 Denmark
Cameroun is the 1st team to be officially OUT !

French coach Paul Leguen proved he sucks, big time (wich I knew since he is the former coach of my favorite team, Paris-SG)

Pure luck Danmark won. Glad we did though.

:partysml:

The crazy group stage could result in some very interesting second round matches: BRA v ESP, ITA v NED, GER v ENG

I had a look at the draw sheet and my prospected semifinals are currently Argentina v Paraguay and Mexico v Netherlands.

Except Argentina and and Netherlands non team is sure to qualify...

It's a bit early to prospect for the semi-finals

Guys, have you heard about the complete french players are refusing to train with their coach, as a result of him sending home Anelka? Who had insulted heavily that trainer at the last game (Here's the story)

Quote: "He told his coach to "F*ck off, dirty son of a b*tch.""

French Revolution in South Africa

The hapless trainer was stunned and read the letter to the press at the press conference later.

I understand that the team will refuse to train at the next planned training session if Domenech is still there.

Wow.

Next story: Italy could be out of the tournament, after group phase, too. Man, this is so entertaining :nanner:

It's turning out to be quite an interesting world cup Germany, England, France, Italy, Spain are all struggling for form and need to win there remaining group matches. Brazil look out of sorts Portugal, Ivory coast seem to be more defensive then everybody expected, Holland are grinding out results but seem to be playing below there best.

Argentina are the only ones playing good football at the moment, but i still don't think there going to win it, because they are very poor defensively.

I am embarrassed to call myself a supporter of France. The conduct by the players is nauseating. They have actually turned me toward pitying Domenech!

Professionals are supposed to play. PERIOD. When you put on that blue shirt, you're playing for a nation...not personal ego bullshit. It doesn't matter if the coach asks you to play with your head up your ass. He asks; you do. End of story.

I hope South Africa destroy France  What the French players are doing has gone too far, imo.

I hear you, titsrock :)

I believe this thing started as the team was shocked how bad they actually played in their first game and were angry, yet probably would not start looking at the possibility THEY were the ones why did the bad playing.

So maybe just start some drama, blame it on the trainer and they are good.

I think this will be interesting. Will the french soccer federation sput their foot down and say:

You guys play and train as we say or you will be banned from the team

Man it must suck to be french these days

That was never a yellow card offence. Disgraceful behaviour by the Ivory-Coast player, it reminds me of Rivaldo going down holding his face in 2002 after the ball hit him in the leg.

I know it well never happen, but a video replay would solve A LOT of these problems. Any way you try to cut it, a ref on the field only has one pair of eyes. It's not as if this match wasn't stop and go near the end anyway...

yep, the refs seem just as bad as last time. that's one of the reasons why i don't care as much about football as i used to.

Looks like every single french guy on the pitch of a World Cup game is acting crazy...

Kaka should never have been red-carded, Keita should have been.

Hopefully Brazil is already almst qualify and Kaka being absent for the 3rd game should not have very much consequences.
