a crushing defeat, revenge for 66, and their so-called "golden generation" played like the golden girls! plus, i'm on vacation as of today... perfect.
Gotta go for England - they can play better
(please God - no more penalties)
& can you imagine the media hype!Germany did us a favour...could you imagine our bunch against Argentina???
:o

Maybe, but England were shit & the final score was a fair reflection of the game.If the referee had opened his eyes, then he would have seen that the second goal of England would have been alowed and it would have turned into a completely different match. That is all i have to say about it.
I'd like to agree with you, but England were shit. I really couldn't have imagined us winning. After what happened in the Argentina vs Mexico game too, I definately think goalside technology should be introduced to iron out these ref & linesman mistakes...It cost England the match & we could have come away with a win if it was allowed
next Argentina - Germany 2-1
the english had an entire second half to get another goal... and did nothing.
and yes, i think the media is partly to blame here: while they have built up the team as the "golden generation", the truth is that rooney is no lineker, and pearce by himself would have been more effective at defending than everyone who played today... and where is the new gascoigne? hasn't been born yet, i guess. add in the typically shitty english goalie (third division material in any other country), and you have a team that you can call all sorts of things, but "golden" isn't one of them.
due to lampard's goal being disallowed though (as well as various other excuses, like the premier league schedule, or the bad food in south africa, or wtv), the fans and the media will now continue to find excuses for this pitiful bunch of players, instead of facing the facts and getting rid of them and starting over with a fresh squad for euro 2012.
good luck england.
It's going to be a very long summer for those England players, and
I think it will take them a hell of a long time to get over this one.
Thats if they have a conscience of course. :o
