anyway, this time: germany over england, 2-0. after that, we will beat diego 'cocaine' maradona's argentina on penalties. and then i wake up from my beautiful dream...


in all honesty, i have to admit that what i saw from germany today was not very good, too many holes in defense and the not much luck up front. still way better than england, but if we get a bad referee again then who knows what's going to happen. the ref today was very good though.

Dude, we call it as 2nd round instead of eighth finals. Finals begin with quarter finals.

I like both teams and they are 2 of my favourites but England is so overated. They play poor. Germany play better. My vote goes to Germany. Hell, 20 damn years after Italy 1990! End this torture.

I'm relishing the fact that we have this route - it'll be much more fun running the gauntlet of teams like Germany and Argentina and Spain. The games will be less negative and tentative than South Korea vs Uruguay or USA vs Ghana are likely to be.

Will Germany beat England? A lot of people seem to think so, mainly on the basis of that first win. But this is also a Germany side whose front pair have only scored 5 goals combined in the Bundesliga. How will they cope with opposition that are used to playing against some of the best strikers in the world?

England are also slowly finding form, while Germany appear to have lost some. Whatever the outcome, I think it's going to be an epic match.
