Can someone remind me what Houston Nutt has won to be at the top of many colleges' coaching lists every year? The guy just finished his second season at Ol Miss and Ol Miss SEVERELY underachieved in everyone's mind! Has he decided already it's time to move on? I guess those wins don't come so easy without Ed Orgeron's players, eh Houston? Stay and do something for once Houston!! Kansas is really nothing but the Kentucky of the Big12. Bigtime College BBall schools don't do much in College Football...

If I were Notre Dame I wouldn't bother hiring a coach til after the bowl season. Why not take your time, look at every coach's complete season...and then interview? Will Brian Kelly leave Cincy for Kansas? No, he will not. Same goes for Jim Harbaugh or whoever is on their short list...Go ahead and make it known publicly who you've asked for permission to interview, to give the journalists something to write about, but just asking for permission doesn't mean that you've necessarily set up an interview

I could be wrong, but I honestly believe that a well planned playoff system could bring not only a definitive winner, but also higher overall revenues and more fan enjoyment. Instead of hoping for a million dollar payout bowl win, schools could shoot for playoff rounds which each bring in a million or more, paying a school which goes deep into the playoffs several million, or tens of millions for making it to the Championship. My personal dream is also to put that college Championship the Saturday before Super Bowl, drawing from the Super Bowl hype and creating The Greatest Football Weekend Ever.

All are good reasone and all are reasons why the BCS will NEVER do a playioff system.

Well, the Big 12 is the best conference. I guess taking the Kansas job is the easiest way to get in.

Suh should win the heisman. Most dominant DT (hell, player) I have ever seen, but I've only been watching football for 26 years. Effects the game every play. His stats are beyond sick. No player on offense deserves it. Maybe Spiller from Clemson, & he's not in the running. Suh is the shit...

What about the impact of a playoff system on the academics of the student athletes? I'd love a playoff system too, but that would really be an end of the semester strain on those guys...

Well they are Student-Athletes, they should be able to multi task. Plus you really think some proffs are going to actually make the football players actually take the finals when everyone else does. They will make special aragements for them.

I can guarantee this won't happen at Notre Dame. That's part of what hurts them during recruiting. The students have to get really good grades (and earn them) to keep playing.

As it should be in ALL schools.

They do it in every other division. Why not in 1-A?

I don't disagree. He won't win it because it always goes to an offensive player but this year the voters should go against the tide and vote for him anyway. Watch a replay of the Big 12 championship and show me a more dominant performance by any player in any game this year. He nearly single-handedly defeated the Longhorns. Suh for the Heisman gets my vote!

I think Ingram is going to get it. Why give it to the guy who actually derserves it.

The only DLineman to completely take over a game like Suh did, that I've ever seen, was Warren Sapp in the Orange Bowl against Nebraska back in....94? The Huskers won the game but they quit running the ball even in Sapp's vicinity. They were a triple option team and they still won the game by running away from him, and he still dominated the LOS...

if you dont think ingram is real, bama beat 4 rank teams this year, ingram leading, also showing up in the big dance, who has stanford nebraska or texas ? they have all had a powder puff list, ingram made his mark when it counted ingram gets my vote because of who he done what he done against. texas a&m scored 39 points on texas,to me thats not a top 5 team tebow folded under pressure, who has stanford beat? big bad USC ? and nebraska lol what a joke what good team have they beat?looks like a landslide to me:dunno::wave:

Ingram gets your vote casue your a Bama HOMER.

Gerhart - 311 carries - 1736 yards - 5.6 avg - 26 TDs
Ingram - 249 carries - 1542 yards - 6.2 avg - 15 TDs

Gerhart's a senior. Ingram's a soph.
Gerhart punishes defenders....case in point.......

Give it to Gerhart.

You make me laugh. Alabama will probably win the Stanley Cup too. Try having an open mind for once. You can't actually believe Ingram deserves the Heisman. Ingram isn't even the best back in the country. It isn't the best player on the best team award. It is the most outstanding player in college football, and that player is Ndamukong Suh. Easily.

But you're probably right. Ingram will probably win because the Heisman is a farce.

We were doing good until you said that Alabama's schedule is not the toughest in the world either until coaches and the NCAA get off their ass and do something about the BCS the world may never know:dunno:All teams should have a tough schedule and one game they could win easily:thumbsup:

Ingram is certainly deserving, but I also look at impact on the team. Bama would have survived just fine without Ingram, but at Stanford, Gerhart lifted that team on his shoulders and provided the spirit for them to do what they did, while still racking up stats and overloading classes to graduate early. The Heisman race is a close one this year, but I still call it for Gerhart. If not him, then Suh, because a defensive player taking it is just sublime.
