Re: USC vs OHIO STATE

I was shocked that Ken Dorsey never made it as a Pro. I thought he could adapt to the Pro Game. Who knows if Maurice Clarett would've made a good RB....:dunno:

Yeah, I'm a bit surprised that ESPN has already activated DEFCON 3 HYPE MODE for the SC/OSU game. I think they have a separate USC/OSU tab on the bottom crawl already...

:thefinger Maybe my Trojans need to drive the bus from Columbus toward Cincy to get a game this weekend:thefinger

Damn them fighting words Wow but now it is time to put up or shut up:scream:

Now "tits.." there gets to be a point where so many "wolf tickets" are sold that it becomes very difficult to save face if you're party doesn't go according to plans. Not sure you're there yet....but you're fast approaching.

I'm not sure that's wise when you're bringing a true frosh into the 'shoe.

You remember what the spider said to the fly right? "Welcome to my parlor said the spider to fly, it's the prettiest little parlor that you ever did spy."

Take care not to get sucked into the overconfidence "tits...".

I'm not surprised about Dorsey at all,to be honest. When was the last time that a QB from a big time powerhouse school went to the pros and was actually in the top half of QB's in the league?Peyton Manning, and maybe Donovan McNabb were probably the last, even though their schools weren't elite anymore when they were there. That only leaves Carson Palmer, but as good as he is,he would probably be in the top 5 of all QB's if he could stay healthy.

Oh,and I guess even though he went in the 5th round,Tom Brady.

I guess I should revise my statement. How many QB's from top tier schools get drafted in the 1st round, and end up actually being good in the pros?Answer:not many at all.

As far as Clarett goes,I think that he would have been an above average to good back on the right team, and probably not as good on teams that aren't that good.Talk about throwing it all away though.

Up here in the PacNorwest, the Fox Sports channels replay that 1990 UW - USC game and it was the greatest beatdown I've ever witnessed against my Trojans...UW TRULY looked like the 1985 Bears that day....

That's true, but on the other hand most quarterbacks that get drafted don't end up being good no matter where they went to school or where they were drafted.
