Auburn has switched to the "Pistol" offense and it looks pretty good for them. Game just started and they're playing Louisiana Tech, but still....Auburn was a joke last season.

Maybe "the Tide" is going to turn this season in the SEC....;)

Wow... three false starts to start off the game. Also, Brown went the wrong way on a running play. We need to get it together!

It took my Trojans the entire 1st qtr to "get it together"...we looked pretty average against the Spartans for the first 15:00.

I say reeeeelax.....

What a disaster!!!

7 penalties, 2 fumbles lost, our secondary looks awful, and Sam Bradford is injured and it looks serious.

wow, notre dame!
offensive line looks good - running and passing
defensive line looks good - penetration and forced errors
special teams looks better than shit

shut out? first one since 2002!

and i don't think it is just because nevada was crap. they looked good, actually.

ohio state, on the other hand, looked like poo-poo. i expected more after the bowl game they played.

Why the hell would you expect that? They lost a shit load of starters to the NFL this offseason.

I'm really concerned about next week for the Buckeyes.People think that just because it was Navy, they should've blown them out,but even though Navy isn't a great team, they play everyone pretty tough and never give up.

So aside from that,Ohio St. just looked really sloppy in the second half.Their defense better show up next week or they're gonna get embarrassed at home. Then again,if by some slight miracle they can pull this one out of their ass,it should be smooth sailing until they play Penn St. in November.

I though Nevada would put up a fight but I must say Notre Dame took it to them and I think they(Notre Dame) will kick the shit out of Michigan

The kick is short and BYU takes over

The Buck's against USC should be very interesting. USC rolled! OSU either lapsed into a suspect prevent defense or just really lapsed near the end of the game. They looked shaky all game defense wise and dropped some easy passes. Pryor I hoped had maked the great step forward, but still relied on his great legs too much. I am hoping Tressel as showed last year against Texas sharpens up the gameplan!

Basically, that's what it all comes down to.I've been very unimpressed with OSU's play selection over the past few years. It just seems so uninspired and basic at times. This team really doesn't have that strong power running game that they had the past few years with Beanie Wells, and I'm not too sure that this receiving core can get it done against some of the elite teams.

This next game is certainly going to be a test. While I really don't expect them to win,I just hope that they keep it close and give Penn St. something to think about before their meeting, because it's going to come down to those two teams in the Big 10.

I will say this,Penn State has a really lame duck schedule this year.Aside from them playing Ohio State, the only other game that might be worth a damn,is next week against Syracuse.Even if they run the table, there's is no way that they will be competing for a national title. On the other hand,I think that there could be a really good chance that Ohio State could get a shot at the title if they beat USC and Penn State.

In all,I think that the Big 10 is screwed, because after OSU got blown out two years in a row,and the conference as a whole, not showing up in their bowl games last year,I'm not to sure that the voters won't do everything that they can to make sure that they aren't in the national title game.

Just an awful first game, I can't believe we lost. Almost everything that could go worng, went wrong. This team looks nothing like we did last year. We're having protection problems on our offensive line and there's not that same push from last year. Defensively we're agressive, but gave up to many big plays. Now we have to go through this season without Sam Bradford and Jermaine Gresham. Hopefully they come back soon, especially before the Miami and Texas games.

The only positive I see from this is that this is a major wake-up call.

I'm not going to rule out our season yet, but we're no where near Florida, Texas, and USC's level. This going to be a long season for us Sooner fans.
