Hey Ohio State fans what the hell is up with their offense Pryor went 14-17 for 93 yards don't pretty me wrong pretty good number but only 93 yards:dunno:What's up with that.and just for the hell of it Weis had the same winning % as the last two coaches at Notre Dame .583 should have stayed in New England if you as me but i must say he has a hell of a lot of talent in South Bend but not a lot of wins

I think this is a very good point, but even taking this into account, this seems like a very lack-luster season. The Heisman competition is a good example of what I mean.

Ehhh...I don't get the worked up about that either. The Heisman isn't what it used to be. (or at least what it was thought to be) It's supposedly suppose to represent the best college player, but in fact it's just a trophy that goes to a quarterback or running back with a good amount of states that's on good ranked team, often because of a system. It hardly even represents the best person at a position anymore. When you see Heisman winners being drafted past the first round even as far as the fifth round in the NFL it's pretty clear the award has jumped the shark some time ago.

The :dunno: Unis: Basically, the white unis don't look as interesting and unique as the color unis.

Not totally sure, but I think the white unis are the road unis. :dunno:

But I do know what you mean. The only thing I like about the Oklahoma uniforms are the shoes. Hopefully, the unis are just temporary.

FSU's are hands down the best so far. I am really digging the black helmet.

How can Weis have the same winning % as Davies and Willingham and STILL have his job when they got canned. Oh yea he is an alumi and it's going to cost the Irish 18mil. Smooth move ND.

You are not kidding like i said before for him to have all that talent and just a 6-4 record I mean don't get me wrong Pitt is having a great season but talent wise Notre Dame should have destoryed them

Nah, you forget that Pitt has the 5th best OVERALL defense in the NCAA

they are ranked 3rd in pass defense

Sad part is ND is ranked 2nd in run defense and Dion Lewis tore them apart.

:D jumped the shark. nice.

Yeah, the winners of that award almost seem to be cursed to mediocrity.

As far as Weis goes - I don't think it is the alumni thing that's keeping him where he is. There are two things:
1. Notre Dame has a pretty well established, long standing policy of not firing coaches mid-season. Even Willingham wasn't told he was done until after the last regular season game. If he's being fired, we'll find out after the game in Stanford.
2. Who comes after? What coach (who is worth a runny shit in a dixie cup) would want to come to that program right now? Don't fire chunky boy until you have a replacement. At least he is recruiting talent.

Um... no, that's 2007.

Actually they're only 19th. Florida, Alabama, Nebraska, Penn St. and Oklahoma are the top five.

I will counsel my Sooner fan friends (basically YOU) not to buy that in the stores. Maybe it looks better in person. Maybe not, we'll see I guess "soon" enough;)

To me, the Florida State uni really does represent change and design innovation. The FSU uni also has the design career through with the bottom layer/sleeves. Oklahoma should have something going on with that layer too, rather than just it being white. This may sound crazy, but why can't the Nike design team be tasked with working in the Boomer Schooner for example. :dunno: It's a covered wagon (right?), but if they worked that into the uni, and made it awesome....I would be  VaTech has a cool mascot too--the Hokie which is some kind of black bird....it doesn't seem like they worked it in enough, you know?

I am not criticizing Oklahoma, Texas, etc.; I'm criticizing Nike. Oklahoma is one of the "elite" programs to get this treatment. That's pretty cool in and of itself.

Oklahoma will be sporting the new Nike Pro Combat uniform Saturday vs. Texas Tech.

The uniforms respect the past of Oklahoma football, drawing inspiration from Bud Wilkinson's famed "fast break offense" that led the nation in scoring and won National Championships in 1955 and 1956. An all-white helmet is a nod to the teams that played during that era (1946 to 1956), as are the clean lines on the jersey and pants.

“In 2003, we had one of, if not the first throw-back uniform games among college football programs. We view this similarly and wanted to salute our past on a day when Nike outfits us in some of its newest product. In future seasons, we will continue to wear the state-of-the-art equipment Nike is providing to us, but will return to the same, traditional uniform style that we have worn for many years.”

Like I said earlier, I only like the shoes.

It looks like these are a temporary throwback look. Which might explain why they look so bland.

This whole movement is a just a shameless attempt by Nike to sell more of their shit. Leave the fucking uniforms alone.....they've worked just fine so far. Greedy motherfuckers and stupid chumps who fall into their trap by eagerly buying up their garbage. Same thing with these fucking "retro" unis in the NFL. If I have to see one more game with the Kansas City Chiefs wearing a helmet with the state of Texas emblazoned upon it I think I may just kick in my TV screen.
