Texas and the South in general has been have sickening weather this Summer, which got me thinking - If your area had more of a year with one or the other, which would you choose? Personally I don't like sweatin' my sack off, but at the same time now I am an avid golfer, which would nix that if, say, seventh months of the years were 10* (or close to 10*). A half half mix is generally what I live in, which has it's pluses and negatives.

You? :dunno:

Both extremes make my Bronco XLT go into vapor lock. Some jerks will tell you that it's easier to warm up than it is to cool down, but I've lived in Vegas for too long and 10* just sounds absolutely shitty right now.

The thing I loved about hearing about all those in Arizona earlier this year when it was 120* was how they don't go out during the day at all and have several central air systems per house. Priceless! Now they know what it feels like to have to deal with extremes such as -20* :1orglaugh

Give me 10 degrees. Provisions needed - fireplace, beef stew, a young version of Julie Newmar or Pam Grier to keep me warm.

Cold doesn't bother me, especially when I'm with Karima.

That's what I'm saying. The biggest downside (IMO) is the lack of local fresh fruits and veggies, particularly in your backyard. But there is nothing like sucking in a real cold breeze into your chest - the air is so much fresher and cleaner than that humidity shit.

Honestly the perfect degrees for me (aside for when I want to go to the beach and see some tail, which in that case it is the rare time when humidity is welcome) 40-50. Falls in the Upper Midwest are the nicest weather of the year.

The perfect air are during the summer nights.

The big problem is that cold weather comes with an extra warm weather doesn't, snow. If nothing else that gives a huge advantage to warmer weather being much better, because snow does nothing but make life a headache for everybody with the exceptions of the relatively few people that use it for recreational sports every once in a while.

Somebody that's in good health can also live in 110 degree F heat, even if it's not comfortable. In 10 degree heat you die. Thus cold weather also cost a lot more in time, money, and resources all around to counteract it's effects.

I will take the cold over the heat any day! I love being cold! You can always add as many layers of clothes that you need to stay warm but you can only take off so much!

Or people that own a truck and plow. Friend's dad investment on a $4K truck and plow several years ago into a $16K profit in one season, and that was of course only when it snowed, not the off days (my guess was maybe he put in a month of days work that season). I was very, very close to investing in my own truck and plow back when I had well above five figures. College is a crazy expense let me tell you. I'm going to build it up once again very soon and I will have my own plow business worst case scenario in a couple years. Nice thing is it's literally part time so all my other duties will not be hindered.
