We call it a loo, or khazi, or bog, or pisser, or shithouse or toilet (does that word make American's blush?) because that's what it is. Or we say we're going to spend a penny, or see a man about a dog.
Its not a bathroom because of the simple fact that there's no ****** bath in there! Or do you lot **** in the bath?!? Or washroom as you also call it. I'm not going for a wash, I'm going to throttle a mars bar! ;)

Not being a British person I feel that I can't really answer questions on this thread but I do follow it daily!

My favourite Irish term for having a *** is "I must go and drain the eejit"

Since Mrtrebus avoided answering this one in his vanity thread, I'm going to pose it to the other Fogbacks that troll the forums.

Why do Brits insist on mispronouncing the word "aluminum?" (Aa-loom-in-umm)

You are really on shakey ground when claiming that British people are mispronouncing the English language. We invented it! You lot are mishpronownsing it!
Get back to me when you invent your own word communication system!

It has been my experience that British people are not particularly fond of the French.

Is this a correct assessment?

If so, explain.

English people tend not to like the Scots, visa-versa, I got nout against them, but in general British people like to fight amongst themselfs, take Braveheart for example.

nope, the scots and the french get on well, i think english folk and french dont get on because each nation thinks the other is arrogant, judging by folk i've spoken to

also, can i ask americans, why do they call american football "football" when its predominantly played by hand, and call real football "soccer", when its played by foot? as americans would say "go figure"!

I would guess that it is because American football is corruption of Rugby Football.

I'm not American so I realize this question is not for me to answer. However, in my opinion I think the average American views the world in a completely "different" way to the rest of us. Sometimes, Americans will create the most bizarre ideas and they are even willing to put their lives on the line to support them. :dunno:

Most of the time I just laugh my head off. :1orglaugh

I asked a similar question recently Premium Link Upgrade and I was surprised how difficult it was to get a logical reply from our allies in America. :1orglaugh Good luck.
