Outsourced was one of the best sitcoms on tv,but I guess us xenophobic Americans didn't want to watch a show that wasn't set in the US.

The Playboy Club, three episodes and it was gone.

It will forever completely baffle me why no one watched this show.The storyline was actually starting to get interesting,and WTF,Amber Heard was the star!

The ratings weren't that bad. I read the show had a bad standing with critics. It was said to be racist and superficial. Honestly, I didn't see much racism in there. Americans were at least as much made fun of as of Indians.
Officially, the ratings where the reason for the cancellation. Inofficially, the bad reviews played a huge role.

Shit! How did I manage to miss mentioning Deadwood?!? Deadwood was one of the best shows of all time imo. They really should have finished the series!

Southland (THE best cop show on TV)

Southland wasn't cancelled. It moved from NBC to TNT, where the second season was aired. New season starts January 17th as far as I know.

And regarding Deadwood: Technically it was never cancelled. They just never did another season for several reasons. For example, David Milch, the creator and showrunner, didn't want to continue and wanted to make John from Cincinnati, which wasn't that great a move because John from Cincinnati was a huge flop.

Animal Planet had a show called "Jockeys" for a couple of seasons. I don't know if it was a ratings thing, or that was all they intended, but I wish it would have continued.

Law & Order, even Law & Order LA had started to grow on me but it seems it wasn't popular enough, how these get cancelled whilst all these new reality TV shows start I don't know, I guess they cost a lot less
