Your 2010/2011 NFL MVP -- Mr. Tom Brady vs Michael Vick. Who ya got?

Who is YOUR NFL MVP?

There seems to be a fierce debate brewing between those who feel Michael Vick is the NFL's MVP this season and those who feel Lord Brady has wrapped it up with the Blizzard Beatdown of Da Bears at Soldier Field.

Who ya got?

Me: I think Michael Vick has Comeback Player of the Year wrapped up and Offensive Player of the Year wrapped up.

But Tom Brady is the MVP of the League. Case closed. :cthulhu::yesyes:

Tom Brady cause everyones on his dick but I hate that over-rated wife having, hair cut neglecting bastard.

I am certainly pulling for Vick. I actually watch Philly games now just because of him and DeSean Jackson.

Vick has been absolutely incredible but, this year, nobody can touch Brady in my opinion.

Brady for my vote, Vick had that one great game, but Brady is having a terrific season.

Vick, hopefully, is having a season that is just a taste of what the rest of his career will be like. that said, Brady is simply the best. Scary thing is, this season is phenomenal and isn't his best in the last four years.

Vick.I like Brady, but sometimes, it's good to give credits for someone who got a hall of fame level after being banned for 2 years.

To be honest and blunt, I think it will go to Tom Brady for a four reasons. First, too many guys in the media seem to have a man crush on Brady. Second, I'm fairly certain that there is still some residual hatred of Vick for the whole dog fighting scandal. Third, as much as I dislike him, Brady has been the one who has been by far the most consistent all season! It's hard to argue that Brady hasn't been the most dominant all season long! Finally, there is the racial issue as well. When you factor the three things together you end up with one thing: MVP Tom Brady!

Vick is a terrific story. But Brady will likely win the Super Bowl, and he has done more for his team season long.

If it wasn't a popularity contest, Vick would win hands down, but since it is a popularity contest, Brady wins hands down. Plus his numbers and record are superior.

Peyton is just letting someone else borrow his award this year. Remember that.

I'm surprised Manning isn't in the conversation. He's carrying this team into the playoffs with no running game, no defense and all of those injuries.

Well, for about a three game stretch he was throwing TD passes for opposing teams. I think that effectively killed his chances this year.

Doesn't matter though. I'd still take him over any other quarterback any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

The racial issue I was referring to wasn't race in general. What I meant, was his race in conjunction with the fall out that still exists from the dog fighting scandal. I believe it is hard to argue that this isn't a fact, that society as a whole is quicker to "forgive" a white person, than they are someone of color. My team's quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger would be a pretty good example of that. Many of my fellow Steelers fans wanted him GONE before the season started, and they are back kissing his ass today! I'm white myself, so I'm not that big on "playing the race card" so to speak. But, I would argue, like I did, that given that he is black, will play against his being "forgiven" for the dog fighting when it comes time to vote. And, if everything else is "equal" in the eyes of a voter, that factor will work against Vick & will benefit Brady! It just so happens that Vick is the only black player with a reasonable shot of winning the MVP award this year.

I totally agree! Sadly, too few have the "guts" to go with a choice that could be perceived as "unpopular" today. So they take the easy out....in this case Tom Brady instead. A prime example of that, though a bit off topic, would be in 2001 when George W. Bush was named Time Magazine's Man/Person of the Year.....instead of Osama Bin Laden.....who arguably had the greatest impact on the world for the year (which met the criteria for the "award")....but he was a VERY unpopular choice....so they went with the safe pick (at the time) of Bush! Back in the day.....Time Magazine went with UNPOPULAR choices of Hitler & Stalin....but those days are gone! Today in the NFL, as is the case everywhere....they go with the safe pick instead.....and we are left with 2010 NFL MVP Tom Brady!
