I saw that list, talk about the modern era discrediting the titles, with Ziggler and Christian having pathetic reigns as "Champions".

Even though Christian was just an easier way to give Orton the belt than Del Rio (if he won), I hope that the WWE will listen to fans and allow Christian to stay in the main event picture for ,at least, a little while

I dont think it will happen, but id like to see the fans come out and support Christian just like they did Matt Hardy. Come to the shows and chant "we want Christian" or something. For added effect, chant it when Cena and Orton are out nonstop. Don't boo them; chant for Christian.

The WWE belt looks like a fucking joke and has been a joke since 2006, I'd expect to see it in an over the top rap video than in a professional company, I'll admit that the U.S. Champ spinner belt looked ok but the WWE title is supposed to be prestigious and respectful to the company's history, I don't mind that Austin had the Smoking Skull belt, because it went back to normal afterwards, Cena's belt style stayed with the company even after he lost it.

Agreed. Chanting "Cena Sucks" does nothing but fan the flames for him. It's like all the people who talk trash about Justin Beiber. They're not hurting him at all. Hatred is still attention, which means it won't go away.
A "We want Christian" chant would be much more beneficial to his fans.

And @Mr Jizz I also agree about the Cena belt. It's ridiculous. Not as bad as Jeff Hardy's TNA belt but at least that one's gone now.

I never understood that either. Stone Cold & The Rock had personal belts that only they wore but the only reason I can think of why Cena's belt stayed is because they sold so many replicas of it to kids

Don't get me wrong, I am a HUGE fan of Randy Orton, but I wish they would have let Christian hold on to the belt for a few months before dropping it to someone else. Less than a week is not enough time to be a champion! :(

I believe it was the plan, Cena on RAW with his silly WWE Championship spinner belt (apparently it spins again) and Orton on SmackDown with the very much recycled NWA>WCW>WWF/WWE Heavyweight Championship because although Christian winning the belt and having the glory, he didn't really win it due to the lower-end competition.

Christian should be in line for a story that involves a rematch, in which he can win the title more convincingly.

Seconded, the WWE Championship is ugly and the World Heavyweight Title looks far more prestigious and regal.

That's because it was originally designed, in the NWA days of WCW as the official belt to the heavyweight champion of the world. But then the WWF and other promotions were branding championship belts, which then the belts were meaningless as to there being many world champions. Though the belt has been true to it's 1985 design, with only the WWE branding being placed at the top (I guess so it couldn't be used elsewhere).

Anyway...

I already knew the history of the belt, it was more of the fact that the WWE title used to be (and still is) perhaps the more respected in world wrestling, although I'm sure some would disagree. Therefore, the WWE title should be treated with more respect and tradition rather than being used in cartoon fashion.

Going back to the Austin and Rock versions, they were more in keeping with a traditional and flat title, and didn't look like a bling based piece of shit that Cena's belts has resembled so they weren't too bad, plus as you mentioned it returned to the old design when they lost the title.

Vince is losing it....
