 I've done some searching and I haven't really found a decent thread to discuss the events that take place on Raw, Smackdown or any of the WWE pay per views. This thread is for members to talk about recent WWE shows and post links to caps of the shows.

We'll start with 11/28 Raw's official results:

WWE Champion John Cena def. Chris Masters and Kurt Angle (Triple Threat, Submission, No DQ, No Countout)
World Tag Team Champions Kane & Big Show def. Snitsky & Tyson Tomko
Shawn Michaels def. Carlito
Trevor Murdoch def. Shelton Benjamin
Women's Champion Trish Stratus, Mickie James & Ashley def. Torrie Wilson, Candice & Victoria

Remember that this thread is for the discussion of recents events in WWE(ie. shows, pay per views, etc), so please don't flame WWE/wrestling or any of its affiliates. Any negative comments you may have, please take elsewhere. Thank you. :D

11/29 Tuesday Special edition of Smackdown

Booker T def. Chris Benoit (leads series 2-0)
Excellent video of the David vs Goliath comparisons.
Big Show and Rey Mysterio fought to a no contest, when Kane came out and helped Show to double chokeslam Rey.

Note to self, since you live on the far west coast, don't read thread before watching match. Oh well frees up some time for me tonight.

Ahh...IMO it was a good show for only being an hour. The video comparing Rey and Show was really good and the end of the show was quite "explosive"

I hope Randy Orton will be the next World Champ.
IMO he did ok as the Raw champ, but I expect this feud with Taker to last awhile longer, restraining him from title competition.

Scratch that

Impact Wrestling:
The Randy Orton push will be going into maximum overdrive as he is penciled in to win the 2006 Royal Rumble in Miami, Florida. Orton is then scheduled to go on to Wrestlemania to take on Batista for the World Heavyweight Title. WWE is very adamant about making up for Orton's first title reign in 2004, which they consider to be disappointing. WWE feels that Orton will be one of the top stars of the future. Batista is 40 years and WWE feels his days on top are limited.

There are still no plans to bring Jim Ross back to RAW. Ross is currently at home in Oklahoma recovering from surgery. The original plans had called for him to be brought back to host WWE.com's Unlimited programs but there is no word on if that will still happen.

Batista is scheduled to work through his back tear injury as the company really needs him. Some question whether that may be a good move as he could definitely cause more damage.

WWE.com is taping SmackDown! this SUNDAY in Columbia, SC. due to them traveling overseas late next week to tape their holiday shows for the troops overseas. The location will be kept a secret for obvious reasons.

There was a major shake up in the SmackDown storyline plans at the tapings on 11/22 in England. Randy Orton was supposed to win and take the title from the injured Batista, however that’s not how things went down.

With the talk of putting Randy Orton up against several baby faces for a long run as champion, Batista volunteered to work through his rehab, and get in the ring for large shows. WWE decided to keep the title on him for showing this kind of dedication.

The plan was for Orton to square off against The Undertaker in a Hell In The Cell to headline Armageddon. However, with Batista refusing to take any time off, those plans seem to be out the window.

It doesn’t look like anyone told Batista to do it, but that he did so both out of gratitude for everything the company has done for him, and also so he doesn’t lose his top spot at all the PPVs which is a big money deal.

The big problem for WWE management with this is that Batista is working with a torn lat, after volunteering not to have surgery because of how long he would be out, while at the same time the company is trying to get a handle on the painkiller situation.

I know I have not kept up recently, but I know JR went in for surgery, but why are they thinking of keeping him away from RAW? (If anyone knows).

JR wanted to lessen his role in WWE, but the major reason is Vince Mcmahon. He wants a younger, fresh announce team. I figure within the next 6 months the Jerry "THe King" Lawler could be next:mad:

Who else saw the Kiss between Victoria and Candice? it was quick, but just plain tremendous

k i understand that this is suppose to discuss weekly raw and smackdown shows. lets stay away from spoilers... i really didnt want to know that Orton is penciled in to win the 2006 royal rumble... now watching that PPV seems pointless

I agree as a "special", it was cool to have it as only an hour. It basically was a UPN "plug" to get more Friday viewers. Frankly, I think they should have kept it on Thursday nights, as far as ratings go, I imagine a lot of folks are OUT on Friday nights...

Hopefully the backing that the fans after his "firing" will keep that from happening. Sometimes change is good, but in this case I can't help but feel it would be a very bad idea.

Thanks for the answer, AH, about Jim Ross. I think he made the announce team on RAW, obviously because he has been doing it for so long, but the last RAW I saw, it was not the same without him.

Sorry about that but I have been reading spoilers for years now and it hasn't made me not want to watch the show(even though I know what will happen) And any thing that is posted is never concrete, any thing with WWE can change last minute(ie. There was supposed to be a new show on raw, with Edge, called The Cutting Edge, but it was nixed the day of the show. A bigger example would be Eddie G. was pened in to win the title, but died the day of the show) Any future spoilers will be placed with a warning of what it is. I will also try to avoid too much news, anyone that is interested in more in depth detail or info can pm me and I'll do my best:thumbsup:

Though not mentioned in the original thread I will be posting any news related to WWE Raw or SD.

What made JR's "public" firing was the way it was played out, which pissed off anyone that remotely likes JR. But what that did was severly piss of JR's friend, Stone Cold Steve Austin. SCSA was unaware that JR was going to be fired in that manner and was extremly pissed. If you remember the Taboo Tuesday pay per view, where he was supposed to face Coach for JR's job, but was apparently "injured" the truth behind that was SCSA was not told that he would lose the match to Coach, nor was he told that JR would not be brought back.

He really did tear something moving furniture, but reports are that if the match results would of brought back JR, then he would of taken some painkillers and fought through the match. I do miss JR, but I must say that this new guy, Joey Styles is a great announcer and works well with The King and Coach. Interesting note about the announce team is that backside reports state that Vince is constantly feeding lines to Coach while Joey Styles is on is own and allowed to come up with his own dialogue FYI.
