The dumb thing is the NWO in the position of "defending the honor of WCW" or some **** when (in the storyline), the NWO were there to sink WCW. And those guys are WWF guys / Hunter's clique buddies anyway. I hated JBL burying WCW when that whole match felt like something straight out of WCW. I can't recall the last time since WCW died that I actually felt like I was watching WCW (not counting TNA). Maybe in the GM Bischoff time when Steiner was around and they had the commentators table in the classic WCW position.

The Terminator seemed like a WCW tribute too if you remember their RoboCop moment. And WWE can stop making fun of WCW for that now, by the way.

Oh, I'm sure Hunter has some sense of input. I mean, since he stopped wrestling actively, look who he has been with in feuds or in matches.

2011: Undertaker, Kevin Nash, CM Punk (took apart of the CM Punk storyline at its height)
2012: Undertaker, Brock Lesnar
2013: Brock Lesnar (winning over him at 'Mania 29), Daniel Bryan (took apart of the main storyline for Raw given Bryan's ascension)
2014: Daniel Bryan, Shield, Sting

2015-now: Sting, and expected to face Rock next. It's always the center of attention. I just cannot get invested in them since to me they always feel dragged down when he gets involved. It's great he went out of his way to put Bryan over, but the rest? Even in the Wrestlemania 27 match vs. Undertaker it was said afterward he "won" the war with him, and THAT was the storyline to schedule a rematch. They write as if he's as big as a headliner, and to me, he's not at all.

Iʻm not looking forward to HHH vs Rock at all. If they have to use Rock at all, I'd put him against Lesnar, although that might be a waste of a Lesnar match. I don't think Rock can have a good match and he hasn't had a good match since the last one with Austin.

It's odd that Hunter will put over Ronda, Rock, Bryan (and Brie) and even Connor the Crusher but Sting? Nope. I guess that could've been Vince's call, who knows.

By the way, JBL calling Triple H "WWE's greatest" was disgusting. He implied that when he said Sting vs HHH was "WCW's greatest vs. WWE's greatest".

Oh, I'm sure Hunter has some sense of input.

Well, duh. He's the boss in waiting. He has the most input of anyone, bar one man. I'm not saying he hasn't got input - I'm saying I think it was a Vince call for him to beat Sting. I agree the decision was the wrong one, but I believe it was Vince and not Hunter that made it. Vince has final say.

It's worth pointing out that working with Lesnar, Bryan and The Shield all involved Hunter losing the decisive or final matches with all of them. He put Danny Bry over hugely (and clean) while Bryan was on his to beating his buddies to win the belt (a match in which Hunter let Bryan beat him up some more) and The Shield slaughtered Evolution in that elimination match. I don't get why you think the guy isn't a headliner, he was a World champion over and over again, and though he's obviously in the winter of his career now, just like an Undertaker or Rock, it's still a big deal for him to get in the ring and do the thing. And he's still perceived as a massive deal, hence people going apeshit over the build for his matches with Undertaker and the matches themselves, and how happy everyone was for Bryan to beat him. You don't get noise like that beating Kane or Mark Henry.

It ain't 2003 any more. If you're saying stuff feels "dragged down" because Triple H is involved, I suggest it's simply because you don't like the guy. He's a big part of the storylines, but in the ring he isn't the "center of attention." He has like three matches a year. Let go of the ****.

Oh no, word is going around that AJ Lee has RETIRED! WTF. She wasnʻt injured or anything and she just wrestled this week so I doubt she's pregnant.

By "word is going around" I take it you mean "the official WWE Twitter account has announced". There is no rumour here.

Is anyone actually shocked by this? The clock has been ticking ever since hubby got his release and she had been off TV for months, the second she came back it was patently obvious that she was coming back to get her Mania pay day, which would be "Thank you AJ and goodnight." I genuinely expected them to make Paige VS Bella VS Bella VS AJ for the title when she came back, so they could get one last rub off AJ and have her put Paige, top babyface Diva by default, squarely on top in front of the biggest audience of the year. But they went tag match instead and let AJ win instead of using that bit of value she had left to make Paige look stronger. Oh well. C'est la vie.

You're right, it's official. I've read that WWE were treating her like **** so maybe that had to do with it. I didn't catch Smackdown but I read the Bellas knocked her pretty hard in a promo and that they went off-script burying her.

So was Raw her last match? What a way to go out with the "fans" directing rude chants at her.

I just wasn't sure if she wanted to retire or she was ****** out. It was her *****, just because her husband doesn't like it anymore shouldn't matter.

Yeah, the post-Mania crowd is always full of twats trying to get themselves over with chanting irrelevant ****.

I didn't catch Smackdown but I read the Bellas knocked her pretty hard in a promo and that they went off-script burying her.

There's no such thing as off-script on SmackDown. It's taped. If they had said something which wasn't supposed to air, it wouldn't have aired. They'd have been asked to do it again.

It was her *****, just because her husband doesn't like it anymore shouldn't matter.

Would you want to carry on working for company that you perceived had treated your spouse like **** and then fired on your wedding day?

Those are good points and normally I always side with the wrestler against the company but WWE did prove that Punk lied (or at least significantly embellished) about the staph infection so that discredits his claims against them.

I just wonder what AJ is going to do now, she can't just write comics and do UFC. 28 is a young age to retire. For wrestling. Not for porn obviously. ACTUALLY, Porn could be a lucrative avenue for her.

It's possible that she may be retired from wrestling but not finished with the company, and may head down to the Performance Center. If she is done with the company, there will still be decent scratch for her to do the conventions they have all over the country, and further afield if she wanted to.

Alternatively, with the amount Punk talks about having saved enough money that he never has to work again, it's possible that they can sustain their lifestyle without AJ needing to hold a regular income either.

AJ Lee (April Mendez) has decided to retire from in-ring competition with WWE. We wish AJ the very best.

If you look at the wording of this it doesn't really say anything about her leaving the company.

i'm sure Dixie got a big smile on her face, maybe the future knockout champion is on the way to Orlando! :dunno:

anyway the WWE treat there's talent like **** nothing new, and it looks more like a dictatorship to me.

people booing Russev but they forgot that the WWE has Vince Poutin.

It's said and done but Mania's entrances were awesome. Bray, Sting and Hunter had some of the coolect entrances.

28 isn't uncommon for women to leave the company. Lita left around around 28-29, Trish Stratus same thing. ***** Holly was even younger. Since there's far less women in the company, you will often see them in rotation or in and out far more. Guys are similar, though ones who are not are ones who tread water in the no-where-land midcard for years and years (Kofi, Dolph, Swagger, and previously Carlito, Shelton, Morrison, etc.).
