Ace Bandage

This is probably one of the most cringe-worthy promos I've seen in a long time. If you are using phrases like "suffering succotash" and "donkey dung" in your promos, something has gone horribly wrong. There is speculation that Vince is writing Roman's promos. And if that's the case, he needs to stop. Reigns is already sub-par on the mic to begin with. Giving him material like this is only going to exacerbate the problem. Why is he making corny jokes and using little kid phrases? He should be a badass who only speaks when necessary. Let his actions speak for him. If he continues as he is, the crowds are going to turn on him.

Plus, he's going to win the Royal Rumble tomorrow... sigh.

Wow, so WWE didn't learn a damn thing from last year. I love their logic though: if we eliminate Daniel Bryan early enough, the crowd will cheer for Roman Reigns at the end. Well, that backfired. The crowd was fucking pissed off, and the entire finish was booed. Reigns was booed out of the building, and The Rock was booed while he was out there with Reigns. If Reigns v. Lesnar is your main event at WrestleMania, it's going to be an unmitigated disaster. The crowd will hijack the shit out of that match.

Awful, awful Royal Rumble.

1. I enjoyed the tag title match. Usos are great performers. Miz and Mizdow were entertaining as well, but I hope to see a split soon.
2. Triple threat match was awesome. Rollins shined on the big stage with Lesnar and Cena. That was a fun match to watch. Lots of false finishes.
3. The divas actually put on a decent match when they get enough time to perform. It ended up being pretty entertaining.

I'm glad RR won the rumble last night. If Bryan won I don't think it would've been best for business and it would've look like DB was just another wrestling hog earning a title shot @ WW without really working hard for it. Much like AJ Lee, another amateur I can't stand.

Not a fair comparison. Daniel Bryan is a talented, talented dude. Not a great look and isn't the biggest guy, but he can fly around the ring. He would have fit in great in WCW's cruiser-weight division.

AJ Lee is just another Diva. Overrated talented, annoying voice.

First, AJ's been the only diva with any constant pop throughout the past few years and is the only diva with any mic skills. The highlight of the RR was the triple threat match.

Watched the Steve Austin Podcasts recently with HHH and Vince.

Interesting how Vince was the one who came up with the idea for Lesnar to end Taker's WM streak based solely on the premise that he AND Taker didn't think anyone else in the locker room, at that time, was worthy of the push.

Also, interesting how HHH has the refreshing view that every city is different in terms of loving the faces and the heels and that he and creative have to switch up different wrestlers pushes depending on their popularity/unpopularity in the group of cities the WWE may be visiting at any given time.

That Austin podcast is highly recommended.....no kayfabe bullshit, straight industry talk.

it wasn't that Vince and Taker didn't think anyone else in the locker room was worthy of ending the Streak, Vince wasn't sure if it was Taker's final WM. Vince believes when someone goes out, they go out with a lose. anyone could have ended the streak as long as they were booked right. in my personal opinion, Blockead wasn't deserving. it should have been someone who's career could have benefited from ending the streak.

The Taker thing is interesting. If you want to give it to someone for the future, who do you pick? It must be a good decision because if you fuck up their push afterwards, it makes it all moot. Like picking Bray - he's done nothing so far in his career. He did nothing before last Mania. It's all about build and as we've seen the last 10+ years, the only guys they push long term are the mega-faces, so basically Cena and, now, Roman Reigns.

To each his own. I find her voice excruciatingly annoying. She got more popular because she sided with a rising star in Daniel Bryan, then alongside the likes of Cena, Kane, CM Punk, and Dolph Ziggler. If you put Brie with Bryan like that she is getting the same reaction. If they gave her a fart gimmick like they gave Natalya no one would care about her in the first place.

Anyone here watching nxt? I love Kevin Steen. Well,I should say Kevin Owens. I really love the look of the show!

I'm messing up missing NXT. I enjoyed seeing PWG shows where Steen and Generico went at it or teamed up. I've enjoyed their work ever since their International Wrestling Syndicate days in Montreal. Wonder what happened to Arsenal and Green Phantom.

What do you guys think of The New Day? I don't care for Xavier Woods or Big E but I always wanted something better for Kofi Kingston. Poor guy yearns back for the days of dreaming about mid-card gold.

I'm disappointed they booked Sting to lose in his debut match. But it was against Triple H - should have known.

I bet you anything that was Vince's decision. Hunter is a smart businessman and knows at this point what his role is - he's a villain that gets his comeuppance for the benefit of people the fans love, like he showed his arse royally for Daniel Bryan last year, like his team got outsmarted at Survivor Series, and assuming Sting didn't just come in for one match, the logic will have been "Sting beats Triple H, Undertaker beats Bray Wyatt, next year Undertaker VS Sting at last." But I can see Vince turning around and going "You are NOT losing to Sting!! From WCW?? At FUCKING WRESTLEMANIA??"

Because that's Vince. He'll shoot Hunter down over things like this. Like how when Hunter wanted Charlotte to go over Natalya on Raw but Vince insisted that dependable but stale and dispensable Nattie go over on someone that's the future, and the best Hunter could argue him down to was a tag match that Charlotte still lost. The whole place is contrary right now with Hunter wanting as much wrestling traditionalism as possible with the episodic manner in which he books NXT and working so hard to get the Brunos and Warriors and Poffos back onside.... then you got Vince wanting to do WrestleMania without numbers to ignore the rich history because he thinks numbers makes WrestleMania sound "old." Nonsense. I wish Vince would just fuck off and let Hunter do his thing.

So yeah... I'm sure it's Vince that insisted on Hunter winning. Hunter doesn't give a fuck about winning at this point.
