was at my friends for the ppv, we kept talking throughout the show about how much Cena does for make-a-wish and how OTHER THAN WRESTLING he is all class,we also address how loud the boo's are for him and how nobody likes him........

as for the Main Event Match....i heard more cheers when Cena hit that AA than boo's.... i don't understand the live crowds! and im sure it wasn't just kids under 6 making a huge pop like that....someone likes Cena but hates to admit it.

Pretty much, the crowd likes to be two-faced. They cheer someone one minute and then boo the next or vice versa depending on what is being said or done.

So....WM29.....how was it? I chose not to watch......the results all seemed pretty predictable....but, overall from those who saw it....was it good? Bad? Worth watching? A waste of money???

And maybe I'm foreshadowing this week's RAW or SMACKDOWN.....but how long is Ziggler going to hold onto that damn briefcase before he stops acting like a p*ssy and cashes that winning lottery ticket in?!?!?!?

A few thoughts about being there live:
1)Stadium venues are too big for pro wrestling. I was in the 2nd deck left of the entrance ramp and I had to watch the whole show on a Jumbotron.
2)The crowd was about 70/30 in favor of Rock.
3)The crowd energy was low for the entire card except for the last 4 matches.
4)One of the biggest pops of the night was when Randy Orton hit that RKO on one of the Shield from the top rope.
5)Security was kind of lax, was able to walk to various spots in the stadium freely to take pics, etc.
6)Surprising no America the Beautiful to start the card, guess the Chris Christie/Sandy promo took the place of it?
7)Paul Heyman draws heat like no other....one of the best heels around.
8)Brock Lesnar is HUGE in person!
9)There were THOUSANDS of "bullshit" chants after the PPV went off the air after Cena/Rock...the match was a disgrace!
10)Oh yeah, about 2 miles down the road in Secaucus, Hulk Hogan was doing an appearance at some horseshit called "Wrestlefest" or some crap like that.......DURING WM!
11)Best matches of the night....by far, Punk/Taker and HHH/Brock!

:hatsoff:

Word is, Punk hurt his knee and hip when the Spanish Announcer table refused to buckle.

All I want to know is... How was Living Colour's performance when they played Punk to the ring? Was Corey Glover's voice on or off last night? I'm sure Vernon Reid's guitar was still amazing, always is.
I wouldn't be surprised if they did better than Motorhead when they played Triple H to the ring a few years ago. That was painful.

i haven't missed a WM ever- seen em all. i would rate this one as a 50/50 show. nothing over the top happened- no screw jobs,no swerves. all the match winners were pretty predictable. so it is really up to you. i would say- don't even bother.
ZIGGY CASHED IT IN AND WON TONIGHT!

i went to WM in philly a few years ago- Austin v Rock. big boss man hung by a noose in the hell in the cell v undertaker
and we sat 4 rows from the top of the Wells Fargo center where the Flyers play. i vowed to myself unless i am sitting first few rows on the floor...i will have a way better seat in front of my TV. i'll never sit that far away again. it was nonsense!

Living Color sounded good.

post-WrestleMania crowds are frackin awesome. RAW was fun to watch tonight. the transition of chants during the Orton and Sheamus match were epic. "RVD, RVD" to "JBL, JBL" to "JERRY, JERRY" to "MICHEAL COLE, MICHEAL COLE" to "RANDY SAVAGE, RANDY SAVAGE" then " WE ARE AWESOME, WE ARE AWESOME". then the entire audience started singing along to Fandango's music.
. chanting for Big Show to throw the third chair. post-WrestleMania crowds are always the best.

JERSEY crowds are always the best....:yesyes:

It seems that the only ones who "got over" on Raw was the people of New Jersey.

Chicago may have the biggest pure wrestling fans, but NJ has the craziest, and they certainly have no shortage of self esteem (we are awesome). They made it fun to watch. Raw was actually fun to watch. My fingers feel funny typing that. Raw was actually fun to watch. Haven't been able to say that in a long time.

I'll tell you why that crowd was so great, and remember I said this: Look at how few children were in the crowd. It was almost all adults. They left the kids at home, allowing themselves to genuinely have fun and go crazy. This is how it used to be in the good ol' days of WWF/WWE. Some kids, but not many. Just lots of crazy, drunk 20-40 year olds, instead of a sea of kids with the bored/confused deer-in-the-headlights look on them, showing such little enthusiasm except during one or two entrances.
Help make WWE fun to watch again. Leave the kids at home. Thank you, Jersey.

WM crowd!

Ziggler's pop was one of the loudest I've heard in quite some time. Several years at least. Hope his title reign isn't taken as a joke. They seemed to be doing real well with Del Rio holding onto it, so we'll see.

Toronto and MSG crowds are the best for me, but they never go to Toronto anymore.

after Raw goes off the air...

Vince has NEVER had a Company Man like this dude....

Say what you want about his gimmick OR his wrestling ability but the bottom line is that Cena is just a good dude!

i can definitely say i'm not the biggest cena fan ever but OMG did that crowd fucking hate him last night....and does anyone like him at all? i understand the "unbeatable" cena in matches but this guy is going to win at WM.... maybe ZIggy uses the money in the bank and becomes champ to throw a monkey wrench into things? because if Cena wins the belt....who is he going to feud with post WM?

i guess WM is kinda like a fresh start? start new feuds change storylines?
i guess he is going to feud with ryback now?

I agree. I used to pretty much hate Cena, especially during his dumb "Thuganomics" phase, and I hated him because of his overexposure and being put over above others when it wasn't believable. "SuperCena", you know.
But a year ago, maybe year and a half, I started gaining more respect for him. Not just for what he does outside the ring for Make A Wish, etc., but for soldiering on despite the ridiculous amount of hatred he gets from the crowd. He gets more hate from the fans than any of the heels. It's like he's a heel who acts like a face.
I would've been really surprised to see him turn heel. I couldn't imagine the company doing it. Not considering the aforementioned Make A Wish foundation and such.
Btw, I liked his "heel turn" pun that he made last Monday. Damn funny.

Oh that was because we were happy it was Over, the reaction was somewhat the same w/ Brock/HHH, (which i thought was actually interesting....), The crowd was very mixed for both of those matches, and for the most part Exhausted from Punk/Taker

Yea, they cut a lot out. no Skits, No America the Beautiful, nixed matches, apparently reports were going out that they were WAYYYY behind schedule, Hence why Cena & Rock got standard entrances...This is why they had a pre-show though, sigh.

Btw, has anyone else noticed that New Jersey loves anyone who has a lot of orange tan? Fandango, Ryder, Orton, etc.

I was actually at Monday Night's Raw, And as you can tell the crowd was nothing short of PERFECT. Aside from the complete Chant-Fest that went down during Orton/Sheamus, The Moment Dolph's Music Hit...MADNESS. Not A Single seat was full for the whole match. It was the perfect moment for him. Makes me somewhat Okay with the fact they didnt pull the trigger at mania.

The thing with the crowd - It wasn't a complete Total Jersey/Tri-State crowd (although they're known to be crazy on their own). Target is on the money - Usually the Raw after Mania crowd is full of people who were at WM the night before, pretty much People from all over the US and the world. So you have Die-Hard fans that know what they wanna see, and what they dont want. There was definitely a bit of a UK/euro influence in the IZOD center, take a look back at the Barrett/Miz matchup, They were pulling heavy for him! That's what makes the crowd Unique, That's how the "YES/NO Chants" came about pretty much organically. And I cannot Explain How or Why people started chanting Fandango's theme song, but People were waiting for him for most of the night. That will probably go down in infamy. That Chant? That made it all the way to Penn Station hours after the show ended!

And for those who say The Raw Crowd >>> the WM29 Crowd, Keep in mind that they're essentially the same crowd! except one is in an open air Stadium, and one is in a Small sized Arena, which makes all those pops all the better!
