WWE Raw Star Arrested For Throwing Drink at a Fan

DerryJournal.com is reporting that WWE star Mark Henry was arrested and issued an "adult caution" following an incident in Belfast, Ireland last weekend at The Hilton. James McClay, the fan involved in the incident, said "I was trying to get as many signatures as possible on the card and my collectors book. Mark Henry was abusive and ignorant but I got his signature and walked away. Suddenly he threw a drink around me from behind. I turned around to see him stand and square up to me, suddenly John Cena and Randy Orton grabbed his arms and held him back. I honestly thought I was in one of the plot lines back stage. I felt like I was watching this happen to someone else. Suddenly Chavo Guerrero piped up egging Mark Henry on, that really annoyed me as I am a fan of his. I thought this is going to get really bad as all these wrestlers were on their feet."
JR Blog: More on TNA Meeting, Henry's Arrest and More

Jim Ross has updated his blog over at JRsBarBQ.com. Below are some highlights:
"Although many wrestling websites do a really nice job in reporting on the biz some obviously go with what they hear more than once and then consider such gospel. For example, it was reported that I met with TNA executive Dean Broadhead, who I have never met in my entire life nor could I pick him out of a police lineup."
"As I mentioned on Twitter late Friday night, Twitter.com/JRsBBQ, we have been approached with an intriguing, reality show concept that has the potential to be fun, comedic, and still feature unique action. Another, viable non wrestling option that has merit that has come our way."
"I wasn't there. I heard one side of the story of which there are always two. I like Mark Henry, even if he is a Texas Longhorn fan (that's a joke), and feel that this matter may have simply perhaps been a 'rib' gone awry involving some very tired, frustrated travelers. Think of it this way, if Mark Henry had really wanted to assault a fan who could have truly restrained Mark?"
"Mark Henry isn't a dumb guy nor is he going to put himself and WWE in a position to where Mark is arrested and detained in a foreign country. Not withstanding the fact that Henry would likely be sued for all he has by the offended party. Again, I wasn't there but I know that under normal circumstances that Mark Henry is a good natured man of character who I have known for years since we signed him in around 1995 or 96."
WZ Reader Report of Mark Henry's Belfast Incident

Thanks to Tony Magee for sending this in: I was in the bar the night the Mark Henry incident occurred but didn't witness the incident because I was in the toilet,(talking with Ted Dibiase no less!). However, right before it happened, I was out for a smoke and I met Mark Henry there. He was very soft spoken and very polite to me, even shaking my hand when I left. According to my friend who witnessed the incident, Mark Henry says he was called an 'asshole' before he threw the drink.
We got to meet several wrestlers that night and everyone, particularly Ted Dibiase, John Cena and Sheamus were really friendly and accommodated all the fans that were there.
