Damn, this sounds like an interesting RAW that I had to miss (as usual) because of my shitty TV service.

I would have loved to see Lillian.

Monday Night War Ratings: Impact Scores Well, RAW Doesn't
by Matt Boone
Apr 20, 2010

The Monday Night War ratings are in.

WWE RAW scored either a 3.0 or a 3.1 (all of the ratings data is not completely in yet, but the show definitely did either a 3.0 or a 3.1 at the most).

TNA Impact scored a 1.0 last night.

Thanks Guys.

Here's a video of the one and only time Randy Orton used This Fire Burns. Randy hated Burn in My Light and begged to have his theme changed. Vince let him choose his song and he picked Killswitch Engage because he loves hard rock & metal. After this night Vince changed it back because he said it didn't fit Randy and needless to say Randy wasn't happy. He was even less happy when they gave the song to CM Punk.

*Spoiler:* Diva Segment Bombs at SD! Taping Last Night
by Nick Paglino
Apr 21, 2010

Thanks to Luxembourg for sending in the following:

Layla and Michelle McCool (w/Vickie Guerrero) defeated Mickie James and Beth Phoenix. Layla pinned Mickie. The match was a mess. In a segment that will be edited, Layla couldn't find the ironing board under the ring. She eventually found it and they beat down Beth. The crowd chanted "You can't find it" for the most awkward three minutes of the night. Layla and Michelle then stole Shannon Moore's gimmick and wrote on Beth with lipstick. The match and segment bombed live.

Thanks to Paul for sending this in:

I attended the SD taping tonight. Humorous Note on the Layla ironing board mess: After Layla looked under ring several times, a member of the crew was seen in full view of crowd diving under the ring to look for it.

Backstage News: Possible Reason For Mickie James' Release
by Matt Boone
Apr 22, 2010

According to a report on F4WOnline.com, WWE gave Mickie James the axe today in part because of some trouble during the recent European tour.

Apparently James, more than once, arrived late for the bus, holding up travel for the rest of the WWE crew. That was considered the final straw as James already had heat on her stemming from her disciplinary move to SmackDown! a little while back.

Don't understand why release Mickie as she was one of the top divas who has been used regularly.
Katie is very good but never used so no surprise.

As for the male wrestlers none of them have been used to any great extent in recent times so none are really a surprise.

Despite people being shocked at Shelton Benjamin's release, I kind of saw it coming. Don't get me wrong, I think he's in the top three "best pure athletes in the business" but in almost a decade in WWE he was never really over with the fans despite great matches and awesome money in the bank performances. If he does go to TNA I'd love to see him go up against Angle but there's something about his promos and charisma (or lack of) that stops him from being a main eventer. :2 cents:

I am a huge Shelton mark and feel that the WWE has long misused him. I think that if he goes to TNA he will do great there! I also feel Mickie would to great in TNA. It sux that after that horrible Piggie james storyline, they dump her, anyways. Lame.

I might be wrong about this but I believe Shelton Benjamin was released because his contract was ending soon and he probably wasn't going to re-sign. Charlie Haas has practically been begging him not to re-sign and come with him to ROH, TNA, or wherever.
