It's good to be the king...
Nice to see RVD in action tonight (even though every time he does that Frog Splash, he seems more hurt than his opponent...:D )

It would have been better to see him against an opponent who knew how to at least handle himself in the ring. Snitsky was awful in that match. I was hoping with all his time off, though, that RVD would come up with some new moves. It seemed like the same old thing with him.

I wish RVD had got the rumble win, oh well. Its never gonna happen aslong as HHH doesnt like him. Something tells me he may get more gold if he moved to TNA.

Backstage Issues With Kurt Angle & WWE

According to a report in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is once again health concerns within WWE regarding Kurt Angle. During the recent tour of Mexico, Angle was protected in the ring as the world champion has once again been experiencing numbness in his hand due to his neck problems. The word going around was that Angle was feeling better when he returned from the tour. An MRI could shed more light on his current condition, but there is no word whether or not Angle would be seeing a doctor this week. Angle always hides his feelings and won't let anyone know what pain he is feeling, especially now that he is champion.

In better Angle news, Kurt and his wife Karen are back together.

-------------

hope there are no further problems for Angle, the WWE needs him right now.
in my opinion, he's the best in the business

Basically the only reason Edge won the match via disqualification against John Cena last night on RAW was to continue the storyline for a few more weeks.

For those of you in the US, two commercials aired for the Westminster Kennel Dog Show on USA Network last night. In two weeks time, RAW will be preempted because of the show and will instead air three nights later at 9PM Eastern Time on Thursday, February 16th.

Today in WWE history, Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn and Eddie Guerrero debut on RAW.

Askmen.com has released their "Top 99 Women of 2006." They have Trish Stratus ranked #30 and Torrie Wilson ranked #22. Stacy Keibler does not appear on the list

The leading candidate to host next year's Wrestlemania is Ford Field in Detroit (site of Sunday's Super Bowl game).

i think it's about time the WWE brought a PPV to the UK.
and i'm not talking about Insurrextion or Rebellion, i'm talking about a proper PPV.
i remember a couple of years ago, i heard rumors that the Royal Rumble was coming here. obviously it wasn't true.

Steve Austin's scheduled film The Condemned is still in limbo as far as when production begins. It was supposed to start in March, which is why Austin opted not to go forward with his planned WrestleMania match with Hulk Hogan, however it's still unknown when production will begin. As it stands, Austin is still out as far as a match with WrestleMania goes, which has left WWE struggling to find a suitable replacement for a dream match (I don't think Vince McMahon - Shawn Michaels quite cuts it).

Kurt better be careful. I know he likes wrestling, but if he keeps hiding injuries someday he is going to have something serious happen to him again. When it does, it might hurt for the rest of his life and not just end his career.

i agree D-rock
Kurt is my favorite and i truly admire him for keeping at it through all the injuries but he's gonna have to start being careful.

i remember the WrestleMania XIX main event... it was a well known fact that Angles neck was damaged and needed surgery and that he shouldn't have wrestled that match.
i stood up through that whole match worried that he was gonna end his career.

Kurt is another one of those guys that you could say walks the line between dedication and stupidity. His heart for the business is great, but he can't keep going at his pace with such injuries and still obtain normal function, or function at all. Someone needs to get to him, hopefully his wife, and knock some sense into him. Many wrestlers live for this business, but at some point they all have to say, "Enough."

He should just chill out. Take some time off and recouperate, then come back and perform to a high level whilst being relativley safe instead of constanly wrestling at a quite high level but risk doing himself serious long term damage.

Even if he does take a rest, the level that he'll be put on, if not even constant, will still be one where injury may happen again. IMO he border's the retirement line over where he needs to decide whether or not he will continue, slow down the pace(which will PO Vince) or retire. And if his marriage is putting itself back together, there are all the chances that he may decide to stop. I respect what Angle does for the business and appreciate him, but I wouldn't want him to stick around for me, Vince, the entire WWE or any fan. He needs to live his life for himself and for his family.:2 cents:

i'm with you AH
i'm a huge Angle fan, been following him for years.
but he shouldn't keep on wrestling just to please people, he needs to think about his wife and daughter.
I'd hate to see him retire, but I'd totally understand why.

Lucha Va Voom who are an indy promotion in California have announced that their February 15 show in Los Angeles, California would be the final appearance of Luchador Super Porky as he's signed a WWE contract.

Super Porky is a huge star in Mexico, also known as Brazo de Plata, Porky is a real ring comedian who can turn on a dime and brawl with the bloody best of them - sort of Oliver Hardy with the temper of Sean Penn.

It is most likely that the Junior Division on SmackDown will return soon enough.

cool, will watch that, would like to know what he's been up to during his time off

Oh god I thought that Junior Division thing was just a fad that would eventually blow away soon. As for Kurt. I hope he stays healthy, but it would seem like World Heavyweight title is cursed if Kurt has to take a few months off.
