Report: Real Reason Why Melina Was Upset With Her Draft to SD!
by Nick Paglino
May 05, 2009

The UK Sun is reporting that WWE Women's Champion Melina has begun dating John Morrison again, which is the apparent reason why she was seen crying during the WWE live draft which took place several weeks ago. At that point, Morrison had not been drafted to Smackdown yet, so the Women's Champion worried that the two would be separated due to her being drafted to Friday nights. However, the next day Morrison was of course drafted to Smackdown in the supplemental draft and the two ended up on the same show.

What.... The.... Fuck.... have they done to Zack Ryder?!

I have no idea...this is a definite backslide for his character. Not liking what I see as far as future potential goes...what's his gimmick even supposed to be...?

I DID like the Swagger promo last night though...ECW overall was pretty good, though I wish someone would hit Finlay with his shillelagh and retire his ass.

Maybe Horney's up for it?

Hahah finlay will never retire!

That's the part that scares me...WWE creative needs to have him win without that friggin' thing, and without Horney (that OTHER friggin' thing)...or just retire his ass. Gimmick's old, boring and needs to be canned. Too bad, I always did like Finlay.

Bret Hart On HBK-Taker WM25 Match, John Cena, Drugs
by Matt Boone
May 07, 2009

The following is an excerpt from a new interview with Bret Hart from The Sun out of the UK:

HBK vs. Undertaker: "I’ll be the first to say that I thought Taker v Shawn was the best match at WrestleMania, maybe one of the best matches I’ve seen in years. To a certain degree, I was proud of both of them. I never take away the fact that Shawn was a great wrestler and he did a lot of great stuff. I’ve always been really proud of the match we had in Anaheim, when I dropped the title to him.”

Passing the Torch: "If you look back when I first won the title, too many guys – Warrior, Hogan, Jake Roberts – didn’t pass the torch back. When I left the business I had a lousy ending, but I would have loved to have wrestled Steve Austin one more time at the end of my career and really put him over – or Shawn. I would have loved to have given back. I didn’t end up being able to pass the torch back, that was an honour I would have liked to have done."

John Cena being a company guy: “When Chris Benoit died he was on Larry King and somebody asked him if wrestlers need a union – and he shot that down and said 'no'. The truth is only an idiot would say wrestlers don’t need a union, because we do! But it is hard not to take that company position and be a company guy when you’re on the team later. I was in his shoes and you try and do the best you can. As far as his career and how they’re using him – he’s better off working with them and doing everything the way he’s doing it."

Wrestlers dying young: "I don’t understand why so many of them are dying from the prescription pill problems and downers and things like that. There’s an addiction I don’t understand, as I was never addicted to anything like that and never had any desire to tranquilize myself after the matches. I couldn’t understand why these guys would take pills all the time. Back then it was stupid, but now they’re all dying. There have been so many who died that shouldn’t have. Curt Hennig, Miss Elizabeth, Davey Boy, Test and Crush should all be alive. But I think it’s unfair to pin this epidemic of wrestlers dying on Vince McMahon. It’s the wrestlers who need to clean up their act."

Bret's views are interesting. I can't say that I agree in totality with all of them, but at least he's not afraid to speak his mind. If only he would actively try to be an influence on some of the younger talent. Bury the hatchet with WWE and come on as some sort of talent relations op or something. Nice to see press from Bret that doesn't involve the Montreal screwjob, and nice to see him complimenting Micheals.
Interesting though that as with the infamous Hell in a Cell match with Mankind, Taker's opponent is receiving most of the press and praise. I hope someday (but doubt it greatly) that there will be a 'Taker book so we can hear a lot more about his involvement in the business and some of his better matches.

Conspiracy...
I just don't understand the thought process of having Gail Kim jobbing every week.:dunno:

Because WWE doesn't know what they are doing.

She needs to come back to TNA.

Blame McCool/writers. Remember I believe McCool is dating Undertaker, I believe, and she could things her own way. Unfortunately she'll probably get the title next off Melina. I feel bad for real talents like Katie Lea, Natayla, Alicia Fox, and Gail Kim.

Maryse, McCool, and Maria all are terrible in the ring, at least compared to those above.

Agreed, though I give Maryse some credit for improving. The same cannot be said about the other two, especially in the case of Maria. The WWE just does not know shit when it comes to women's wrestling!
