The secret ingredient? MY BALLS
Well, it was supposed to be Mr. Kennedy but that idiot got himself suspended. I'm just glad it wasn't Triple H. Could you imagine the Triple H married to his sister storyline. In any case I expect this storyline to die out much like the Eugene/Eric Bischoff storyline.

Personally, I don't think it was ever going to be Mr. Kennedy. It was too obvious of a choice. Mr. Kennedy...Vincent Kennedy McMahon...no...no. They even addressed that "fact" before the steroid issue came into play.

I know the WWE makes some ill advised decisions, but they wouldn't put someone like Mr. Kennedy (AKA - a long term, main event superstar) into a stupid storyline like that. That's just in my opinion.

not just your opinion.

Jericho doesn't have quite the same star power of those two but he does have one thing that they didn't. Wrestling ability. Austin was pretty good untill his knees went to shit, but Rock was a shit wrestler with a whole lot of charisma. Just like Hogan.

As far as wrestling ability goes I think the Rock was slightly better than a lot of hardcore fans give him credit for. Sure he wasn't in the Dean Malenko, Bret Hart, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero class of people but he also wasn't exactly the second coming of the Ultimate Warrior like some technical wrestling fans make him out to be.

In fact the wrestlers most of the ordinary fans out there consider the most popular and well known were never the best technical wrestlers anyhow like Hogan, Undertaker, Austin, and The Rock. I hate to say it but charisma is probably more important than technical ability as far entertainment goes.

im a technical wrestling fan. the rock was never a warrior reincarnate. the rock was second to none on the mic. he was entertaining. but in his day, there was still wrestling going on. which leads me to the next part.

but for mentioning dean malenko, rep for you. you even mentioned him first. which is where he belongs. but, eddie? there are a few better than he. what about mr. perfect?

austin? not known for his wrestling ability? not in his latter days, but in 97-98, he still had it. ill have you know that in the wcw as stunning steve and then in his first days in the wwf as the ringmaster, he WAS a technical wrestler. and he was a lot better than most will give credit. most know austin as the brawler. i dont. i still remember the wrestler. :glugglug:

'Taker was a pretty good "wrestler" for his size before all the injuries. When he was in Memphis and WCW he could do some amazing things. "The Last Ride" was to protect his knees more so than to go with the "American Bad-ass" gimmick. What WWE really needs is someone who has both aspects, in-ring and on the mike. Like a Jericho or the best of all time Ric Flair circa 1985.

The storyline was supposed to have Mr. Kennedy revealed as Vince's son. It was going to turn out to be a disaster for the McMahon family including Vince at which point Triple H was finally going to be revealed on air as Vince's son-in-law. The next PPV was going to feature Triple H vs. Mr. Kennedy with Triple H being the savior of the McMahon family. It was turning out to be a major storyline for Mr. Kennedy but he got suspended. They needed to get rid of him on air so they squashed the storyline on air.

Honestly, there isn't much you can do with him. He's a guy who fights with a singapore cane. He can't wrestle much and every match can't be a hardcore match. As much as I like The Sandman it was just a matter of time before he got released. As a sidenote Rikishi is supposed to be debuting on TNA tonight.

Why is it that all of the wrestlers that WWE releases because they do not get over with the crowd or because they are boring or just plain suck at wrestling are picked up by TNA in the hopes that they will not just be the same as they were in WWE, such as Tomko Matt Morgan, and the Basham Brothers.

Rikishi was nothing special in WWE and in TNA I see no future for him

Because they were on WWE television and therefore will be recognized. WCW did the same thing. It gets people talking and going to check out what TNA is up to. By the way, TNA is going to two hours. I would probably watch it on a regular basis if I could remember that it was coming on. TNA is actually filled with rejects that wouldn't make it in WWE, so Rikishi might actually be able to make a name for himself in TNA.

i never wanted to be a tna advocate, but i am now. wwe is so bad, i have no other choice. at least tna does it in the ring.

I think that's a big difference between TNA and the old WCW. WCW was at one time able to pull more people away that were good while being able to develop notable people of their own. They didn't just take the castoffs of the WWE.

Who did they develop, Goldberg. Him and DDP are really the only ones to come up through their system in the nineties that had any kind of impact. Sting was the last big star to come up with them and he was only there because he was with the UWF when they got bought out by Crockett. Even Harlem Heat made a name for themselves in Global before they got there. Most of their best workers they got from ECW. Guerrero, Jericho, Mysterio, Benoit and most of the cruiser-weights came from there. Oh they bring up Giant/Big Show so that makes three. Just about everyone else got started back in the territorial days.

Don't get me wrong I loved WCW until the NWO thing went way over the top. I always thought that in ring they were far superior to WWE. But they had to go back to the veterans for a story line to get over. They almost died a few times before they started bringing in WWE guys. Flair and Sting saved it more than once.
