Would you buy a Chinese Car ever?

I'll never buy.

A European or American brand's car that is made in China? NO!

A fully Chinese brand's car that is made in China? NO!

A fully Chinese brand's car that is made in anywhere? NO!

I support Turkish labour force and try to avoid buying imported goods that can be / is produced in Turkland.

I would never buy a Chinese car. The U.S. is historically supposed to oppose communist regimes. Obviously we no longer subscribe to this, but, in this case, I will draw the line here.

how do u guys ignore that US makes shit products too like FORD and CHRYSLER?

ppl dont want to admit it since 2% of north america works for the auto industry

That 2% buys more steel, aluminum, plastics, and computer chips than the anyone in the 98%.

Intel, Alcoa, U.S. Steel, Dow Chemical, U.S. trucking industry, Delphi, GMAC, Visteon, Cornell University, Bose, GE.... Etc

They all supply the automotive industry...

That's not the case. American Vehicles have improved DRASTICALLY and Steadily since the early 90s. That argument just doesn't hold water anymore.

The fact is that the Japanese stranglehold on quality just doesn't exist like it used to.

Buy Chinese products? Maybe a few, Buy a Chinese car, that I have to DEPEND on to get back and forth to work??? HELL NO!!!! Too many problems with cheap, half assed, LEAD POISONED products have shown up here over the years.

They can keep the scrap iron!

No, I'll pass. Chinese products aren't known for top notch quality but instead known for being made cheaply and quickly. This is fine if I'm buying a pencil or pen but not fine when I'm buying something that's supposed last for awhile like a car. I'll stick with the Japanese.

To each their own
I do like the Ford Focus RS, too bad they don't sell 'em in the states. I'd totally rally that car!

Yes, well, the motoring press all agree that the new Mondeo is by far the best car in its class.Although (from experience) I think BMW's are horrendously overrated I just don't think that fans of German cars realise that Ford has left them behind. The Focus is also reckoned to be a much better car than the VW Golf.

Did you hear about the ancient Chinese army that couldn't defend themselves against an attack? It turns out that they had a lot of CHINKS in their armor.

:drum roll:

No, no...but I probably wouldn't buy a Chinese car.

i remember 10 years ago i wud never buy a korean car, but now they are OK... ive been foloowing chinese cars for a while now and they are doing ok in middle east... here some info about them
Chinese Cars

Yea, but there are far too many abuses that take place in that country for me to ever, in good conscience, purchase a Chinese car.

BTW, they recently surpassed America in the amount of toxins that they put into the atmosphere . . . shouldn't I be opposed to them now?

That Chinacarforums site is a Chinese governments propaganda site btw. I remember back when it was opened only a little while ago and I was reading the posts there, as I was interested to find info about Chinese cars. It was all so obvious propaganda. Everyone there was just talking about what kind of paradise on earth China actually is and that western propaganda has made foreing people believe all kinds of bad things about China. Every ones in a while someone would ask about some negative aspect related to China, and all the other posters would then explain him "how things really are in China".

I bet you are very hard pressed to find anything negative said about China or it`s products from that page. At least such things that wouldn`t immediately be explained to look positive in the next few posts.

Ok, ofcourse I don`t know if it`s Chinese government or auto industry or something else behind that site, but it`s still propaganda. Many or most of the "members" there are fake and their posts are written by professionals who get paid for that. Back when I bothered to waste my time on that site it very much looked like everybody on that board were actually creations of these propaganda guys behind that site. But that was when it was just opened, perhaps theres some real members too now.

Just go and see for yourself, everybody there are sooooo excited about those wonderful, wonderful Chinese products :)

I always think it's best to buy cars from the inventors of the cars: Germans. There is some rivalry between Dutch and Germans, but still I wouldn't buy a car from anywhere else....

German cars are HORRENDOUSLY overrated. For God's sake, VW are still benefitting from the reputation of the original Beetle which because of Mr Hitler's interest was fully developed before it went on sale.Yet I can buy a breakdown warranty for a Ford a lot cheaper than for a VW.The reputation should have expired years ago.And on it goes.Ask about build quality and reliability of Mercedes next..........

By the way, the Honda Jazz which is a highly renowned car and a class leader comes from China

You didn't understand my point. These cars are all "best in their class". All classes I am not interested in.

The emblems remind me of BMW and Toyota :1orglaugh (China has had some sort of partnership with many, many famous auto manufacturers however).

I personally wouldn't purchase a Chinese car. Since they have had some partnership (or whatever it was) with famous auto manufacturers, their cars are probably just some cheap rip off of better cars.
