Worst Movie Ending Ever

one in particular is the one between Greedo and Solo and Greedo misses at point blank range.....GIVE ME A BREAK!!
Of the changes made in "Special Edition," that one gets me angry! I hate that Lucas felt the need to change Han from shooting first to shooting in self-defense. It totally would fit Solo's character to shoot someone who has already admited is trying to kill him.

Still, Jabba's line of "Why did you have to fry poor Greedo?" still cracks me up.

The Beach, all a little happy when you compare it to the book, lets have more unhappy endings like Seven and American Histoy X, let the audience know that things don't always work out well in the end
sorry but happy endings is the typical default american/hollywood norm!

Were you hoping they were going to make it? That movie is based on a true story (where I assume the crew perished in the storm).

have you seen the movie parker?...nothing happens thruout the whole movie...theres no real suspence or nothing...that why they had to live...or else the ending would of seemed pathetic...

its a little like open water...but where open water wins is the suspence and the horror.....the perfect storm was drival and should never of been based on a true story...hell no offence to the people that died but if they'd done it right it could of been one hella sweet disaster movie! which we dont have many of these days

sorry if that offends anyone wasnt intended that way...

yeh definatly....its not just the ending that pissed me off with that tho...its the fact they left out Jed(?...or jud?) and turned Richard into a complete dick when he goes off and fucks Francios etc (soz georges! no idea on french spellin)

messed up stuff... pity to cause its probably my fave book. Have you read any other Alex Garland? i tried his recent one but got bored pretty quit! (again i forget what its called!...coma?) loved Tesseract tho...not as good as the beach but dammed entertaining tarentino stuff! :D

To a certain extent I see your point, however, when I think of what "worst ending" means I get the idea that it's supposed to be a movie that was really good except for the gawdawful ending. Since you call "Perfect Storm" drivel (and I don't remember particularly liking it either), then I think it's fair to say that there was more wrong with it (as a narrative) than just the ending.

sorry you are all wrong :)

the worst ending ever was Stephen King's "IT" all the way though its a clown killing people then at The end they go down some cave ,find a massive spider with a glowing stomch and kick the crap out of it UTTER CRAP :fight:

yip definatly right my friend.....

on a different note.... Guys....i got you all beat by a mile

anybody heard of the director Uwe Boll. I had the pleasure of watchin three of his movies the other day, a friend of mine got 2 imported knowing full well they are gawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwd awful just because he wanted to say hey i own possibly the worsts efforts at entertainment EVER! (yes in general...includes twiddling your thumbs!)

now anybody who thought Resident Evil was utter Rhino Turd....then they should check out this guys adaption of House of the Dead!.... the other two films i saw of his were Sanctimony and heart of america...all three equally SHI......you know shit just dont quite cut it....id be here for hours telling you in long obcenities at how bad these films are!!!

check him out on imdb
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0093051/

also we have some films to look forward to him....more game - to film monstrositys Far Cry, Hunter bloodrayne and....one of my fave games of all time Alone in the dark

theres also rumour of this guy taking the helm to do a Zelda movie...only having a girl to play the part of link....that could be a loada shyte...but i wouldnt put it past the guy

anyways i've bitched enough....contest is definatly over.....worst movies and worst endings....although i did in fact switch off Heart of America cause that was making me ill

There are so many crap movies, but 'The Village' for me takes 1st prize. The start, the middle and the end sucked!!

The other movie with a bad ending would have to be 'The day after tomorrow'.

Generally movies that have bad endings tend to be bad movies overall (although there are exceptions, eg: 'Driven', which was an enjoyable flick, but they screwed up the ending).

I thought Signs (Mel Gibson ... yum) was great until he found God at the end when all I wanted him to do was go on a killing spree wiping out the aliens with a big gun.

Matrix 3, LOTR 3, Episode 3 ...

These trilogies just seemed to suck at the end, as well as be draggy has hell. But maybe we built ourselves up for something more, and that's part of the problem?

BTW, one movie with and ending that most people hate is Contact.
It's actually one of my absolute favorite endings!

Buffalo 66 has the most horrid piece of crap cop-out ending I ever encountered. After setting the film up as an edgey/indie film, with kidnapping, perverted sexual tensions and an apparent public suicide, the movie instead reverts to a Disney-esque "there's someone out there for everyone" bullshit message where the perpetual loser gets the girl & they go off happy. I'm suprised that they didn't walk off with bluebirds singing and animals dancing around them. Vincent Gallo's a fraud who lacked the strength of his convictions.
