Worst Movie Ending Ever

Ok guys and gals, this is something im always asking people, what do you think is the worst movie ending, and you dont have to hate the movie, it can be one of your favorites, but you just hate the ending, or it can be a movie you hate, and the ending is just so bad that it makes the movie even badder....ill give my opinions in a few posts.

I liked it, it was a cliffhanger to the next movie, kinda like the ending of Kill Bill Vol 1. now revolutions, that was a shoddy ending.

I might take some heat for this but the final installment of LoTR had a terrible ending. I mean that thing just dragged on and on for about an hour more than it should've. I know a lot of the things at the end there were necessare but some were just stupid. If I remember correctly there was one part where a few of the hobbits were bouncin around on a bed like queers for at least 5 minutes and then that part where the hobbits were saying goodbye to the old wizard dude (gandolf?) and they made it like 15 minutes....

I agree with what Pitthawk said. The LOTR: ROTK ending was pretty bad, but it wasnt the worst ever. I havent seen a bad ending yet. Ill have to get back to you guys later.

well here is one,Its not a hollywood one but a hindi movie. It was a remake of Jagged edge but they extended the climax and added the ending of what lies beneath. It sucked big time.
Other endings that I am quite bored with r the horror movies. They always come back again,High time they thought of something else.

Return of the Jedi, people dancing in the streets , star wars theme done with a flute... yuk

definitely "Matrix Revolutions". don't get me wrong. i loved the Matrix I & II, the sheer idea of the story was brillant, but the horrible end of part III spoiled the whole saga. Neo = the superman messiah in AND outside the matrix, and brings peace to both humans and machines ?!:wtf: the Wachowski Bros. turned "Revolutions" into a weak fantasy movie...

I didnt mind the end of Matrix Revolutions, a bit corny yes, but not the worst ending ever.....The remake of Planet Of The Apes had a horrible ending, they tried to make it a twist like the brilliant original, and it failed miserably. Dont mess with a classic unless you can do it justice, I hope Peter Jackson does justice to King Kong, I think he will, but im still nervous about remaking that classic.

listen to this one, the movie was called "On the Prowl" it was a very low budget porn movie that i saw when my brother in law gave it to me when i was 16, it was the first porn i owned, the final scene was a guy doing a girl in a barn, and as he finished inside of her (with a condom on) he choked her to death, zipped up, stole her car, and left her there dead, man i was laughing so hard when i saw that.

Exactly. That was indeed a crappy ending but as you said, it's necessary and I'm sure some of the millions of people who read the book might be angry at it, they probably dropped alot of parts as it is.

There are very few movies I like that have weak endings, and that's not a coincidence. Many films will try to be original, thought provoking, etc, but then ruin eveything they've accomplished in the previous 2 hours by resorting to a typical Hollywood ending (ie. an ending where every loose end is neatly tied into a happy resolution).

Any movie like that has a bad ending IMO.

Here's one I don't think it's the worst movie ending ever, but it pissed me off so much I couldn't see straight

Secret Window, I was really into the movie and then it came to the final 20minutes and I'm like WTF! It's like they didn't have time to write a real ending so they just stole fight club's and arbitrarily added it.

Pissed me off like hell.

Matrix

neo flying really really upset me...was a good brainless action flick till that happend....just my opinion

I see your point despite the fact that I saw The Matrix as being more than just a "good, brainless action flick." I was a bit shocked by that bit of footage as well, however I took it to be merely a demonstration that the skills he'd acquired were now well beyond the scope of the film and had reached into regions only our imaginations could conjure. In that sense I thought it was a good ending, as it left me wondering a bit, and, as I mentioned earlier, I perfer endings like that to the ones where all the thinking's been done for me by the writers and all that's left for me to do is sit there and vegetate.

Incidentally, the somewhat open ending to The Matrix was one of the main reasons why I disliked the idea of a sequel(s). There are some story endings that are best left to the imagination, some secrets I'd prefer not to know. I think anyone who was as disappointed with Reloaded and Revolutions as I was will know what I mean.
