Who's Your Favorite NFL Quarterback?

Yesterday, the odious Drew Brees completed his fifth season of over 5,000 yards passing. Among the entirety of NFL quarterbacks, only four others have achieved that feat even once. List below:

5,477: Peyton Manning, Broncos (2013)
5,476: Drew Brees, Saints (2011)
5,235: Tom Brady, Patriots (2011)
5,177: Drew Brees, Saints (2012)
5,162: Drew Brees, Saints (2013)
5,084: Dan Marino, Dolphins (1984)
5,069: Drew Brees, Saints (2008)
5,038: Matthew Stafford, Lions (2012)

Make special note of the dates there. Marino putting up over 5,000 in 1984 is very impressive when one takes into account all the changes in the game which have contributed to the 5,000 yard seasons we've seen in the last 10 years. Props to Dano.

Not my favorite (Warren Moon here), but Tom Brady impresses me the most.

Yesterday he added to his prodigious list of accomplishments by ending the season with the highest TD pass to INT ratio ever (28 to 2).

And consider he's playing at this level at 39 years old.

I'm a HUGE Eagles Fan, so I have to chose Wentz especially when he is a rookie.

Been watching football for many years, and I have to say Aaron Rodgers has wowed me more than any other QB I've ever seen!

His arm strength, accuracy, mobility/athleticism, command of the game, and poise under pressure, is a combination I believe is unrivaled by anyone else who has ever played that position.
He never seems to break a sweat or even appear out of breath, as the game seems to come easy to him.
Also, there's another aspect of Aaron's game I've noticed... the guy has simply been blessed with "gifted feet".
His nimble footwork in the pocket is a thing of beauty... so much bounce and spring, it's almost as if he's performing some sort of tap dance out there. :D

He's not human, every QB in history has had at least some drop off by 39, even the greatest. Not him though.

Brady is no doubt great, but how great, I'm not really sure.
It seems to me he has been afforded the best pass protection throughout his career for any QB in NFL history, often appearing to have all day to throw.
Since Tom has less than average mobility, I wonder how he would fair behind an offensive line that only provided average pass protection. That being said, he is the most accurate passer I've ever seen... almost machine-like.

I'm a Redskins fan (so Lauren, I'm devastated that you're an Eagles fan, but I think we can still make it work ;))

I agree with The Yak concerning Marino. One of the first pro QBs I saw play - HOFer from the jump. Warren Moon is cool, too, Animus. When the Oilers were badass for a minute, he was at the wheel. Good times.

For recent QBs, I like Rodgers, Peyton, Aikman, and Kurt Warner for their QB smarts, with Rodgers (who I guess is a tool, in person?) being the one I'd start a team with, player-in-prime. And ****, Mark Rypien, of course. Untouchable, we were that year. HTTR!

There isn't a receiver on his core going through this season (wherein he only lost once) who was drafted before the 7th round. They're all essentially scrubs to some extent (Hogan wasn't even drafted I don't think). Edelman 7th round pick. Amendola was undrafted.

His core has switched up literally every other year of his career and still yet Brady has made it to the Superbowl just under 50 percent of his entire career.
And you question the skills of Brady?

and look who he's had in his backfield during those superbowl wins.

the other greats, have had their surrounding cast. Brady really hasn't. Deion Branch? Kevin Faulk? He's got Gronk now but he doesn't. And yet here he is again. See what I mean?

Their last Superbowl win against the 'Hawks is known more for that terrible play call and ***** interception in the endzone that Seattle pulled off. But go back to that epic drive that Brady engineered right before that to put the Patiriots ahead.
