#1Daniel Craig, he is the ideal cross between the Flemming and Broccoli, Bond.
he is an excellent actor, but I think its mostly do to the writing, it's taken the best of all the Bonds, so even though he's my favorite he has a wealth of history to draw upon.
#2 Sean Connery, set the standard, he was the first, early Bonds had great writers,
easy to see why he is still the all time favorite, he set the standard with next to nothing to draw upon.
--- Roger Moore, he was a great 1960's -1970's English naughty gentlemen, but he took Simon Templer into Bond, and he was a better Simon Templer.
he stayed to long in the role, after View to A Kill, even Roger Moore said in his next Bond Role Bond was going to break a hip.
--- George Lazenby - Great Ian Flemming type Bond, but I could not see him doing it more than once, OHMSS, was to me a stand alone movie.
--- Pierce Brosnan - great Bond, a cold hearted prick - a continuation of that British gentleman - glad he didn't bring Remington Steele into the role.
----Timothy Dalton, Opening to Living Daylights sold me right away, cruel, head strong, and big balled.
problem with Dalton and Brosnan Bonds, they needed more serious writers - the back up characters actually had his back - it was a bit like Team James Bond, and the Bond Girls were to nice. so I think that kind of skewed it for me.
Dalton should have lost a few girls, and Pierce and Judy Dench needed to have a more conflicted relationship.
Die Another Day was ridicules, was routing for Jinx to die, and the thought of Madonna as a Bond Girl makes me vomit. - I was convinced that one killed the franchise and Pierce and Judy's career.
