To be perfectly honest, I'm not all that excited. I liked it better when it was Saturday and Sunday, and usually watched the first round or 2 on Saturday. Now that they moved the 1st round or whatever to Thursday.....in.....oooooohhhhhhhhh PRIMETIME, and all of the hype that surrounds that decision....meh and ho hum pretty much sum up my opinion of it!
Should have just kept it Saturday and Sunday IMHO! I might be willing to give up a Saturday afternoon for something that is essentially as exciting as watching paint dry......a weekday evening? Not so much. I can always find out who my Steelers took later! Ha ha ha!

My only issue is that there is waaaaaay too much coverage in the months leading up to it. They literally start full coverage after the Nat'l Championship Game... in JANUARY! Then you have the completely useless bit of T.V. called the NFL combine. Other than that, I'm always up for the actual draft.

This year's draft is a collection of nobodies and nonfactors. Only Marcell Dareus is worth the guaranteed millions because he does look like he'll be better than Suh from Day 1.
Everyone else is hardly worth $1million at this point. I see films of these players and most of them look like nothing more than backups at this point.
I hope Carolina takes Cam Newton because it's amusing to watch $40mil get flushed down the toilet.
If NFL "war rooms" really are separate entities from the ESPN machine then CNewton will not be drafted until late Saturday....
I can't even name a single runningback in this year's draft. There sure aren't any I'd take. I like the WR crop, but this is a tough position to avoid a bust in the first round. Julio Jones and AG Green look like studs, but how many other WRs have we said that about too :dunno:
I don't even know who is greedier--the players or the owners. Drawing a distinction between different shades of greed is not exactly a grand endeavor....

I'd draft Mark Ingram Jr. from Alabama if I had a pick late in the 1st or early second.
There are gonna a few really good pieces at the end of the first round and into the second this year, I think.
