I like Christopher Eccleston and David Tenant but I chose the former.

It's good to be the king...

Since the series with the new Doctor hasn't started yet internationally(*), I won't comment on the actual storyline:

First thoughts on Matt Smith: not bad - quirky, alien, and utterly bonkers, just like the Doctor always should be! "The Eleventh Hour" was a good start for Mr Smith.

As for Karen Gillan as Matt's sidekick Amy Pond - a kissogram girl for the Doctor's assistant? That's going to upset the Mary Whitehouse elements in the UK...and yet for all the intended shock value about her profession, I wasn't really that impressed with her (then again, I'm still pissed at Martha being married off with Mickey).

What I didn't like:

Sorry, but the new Tardis controls look as if it was designed by crackheads gone wild - also I thought the new opening titles were naff. If it ain't broke, don't fix it...

But those apart, I guess I needn't had worried about the passing of the torch...

*From Wiki:
This episode is planned to be shown in the US on BBC America on 17 April 2010 and in Canada on the same date on Space.

In Australia, this episode is to be aired on ABC's iView service on 16 April 2010 before being shown on ABC1 on 18 April 2010

I can't pick one Doctor out to be honest. Hartnell and Troughton are legends but I maybe liked Eccleston's Doctor the most. But in my mind when I think of Doctor Who it's still Tom Baker who I think of first.

On the other hand David Tennant's Doctor was nothing more than a gurning twat (Sorry David and your fans, nothing personal).

From what I've seen of Matt Smith. He is exactly the same as Tennant's Doctor only not as annoying.

BBC need to get some more weighty actors in for the role, rather than guys the producer fancies.

My favorite Doctor is David Tennant since that's when I first start watching the show. I watch the new episode (Eleventh Hour) & thought that it was good. The Doctor's new companion, Amy Pond looks hot!

Agreed, his type of "quirky" took a little bit to get used to. I have no worries about him now, that episode made me a Matt Smith fan about mid-way. :)

Glad the Doctor is Back!

Which Dr. Who did the voiceovers for Little Britain?

Jon Pertwee I grew up with, so is who I voted for. David Tennant grew into the role really well, so is a close second for me. Looks like the new man will do well, I like Matt Smith already, and as for Amy Pond - Tarty police uniform in episode 1 and a nightie in episode 2...
