Overall musicians (playing various instruments) - Steve Winwood and Paul McCartney.

I list him first only because he can play everything, keyboards, piano, guitar, trumpet, and drums. (Remember during the making of Low Spark of High Heeled Boys.. yes he filled in playing drums for Jim Capaldi.)

Paul has not played drums since "The Ballad of John and Yoko" Ram, McCartney and McCartney II.

Paul and Steve can play everything very good.

As for guitarists, not Eric Clapton, not Jimmy Page, not Jeff Beck, not Peter Green, not Keith Richards --- but Ry Cooder.

He's a master of stringed instruments, dobro, pedal steel, lead guitar, rhythm guitar, slide guitar, lute and mandolin.

Because there is no such thing in Pop music.

Considering half of these don't even write their own songs. Which means they are only a voice and not musical. I'll have to go with Sir Paul McCartney.

There no such thing as Country either but you still made choices ThatRedWing :1orglaugh

names that are not on the list I think should be there.
Freddie Mercury, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimmy Hendrix.
But I still vote Sir Paul McCartney.
[added - I missed the LIVING part, been awake for 2 days so my brain is dead]
