Jazz Fusion/Smooth Jazz

I really can't tell if this is Jazz/Fusion, but here are two of the greatest ones playing exquisitely:

Fusing contemporary jazz with a live symphony orchestra, this instrumental piece, called "Goree", builds gradually while delivering outstanding sound quality.
It starts out slow and mellow, but then hits its stride for a great ride! Jazz Fusion on steroids, the full concert [in its entirety] is, overall, quite impressive.

Highlights of this performance include: bass clarinet solo, soprano sax solo, drums/percussion, horn arrangement, and a fabulous poster-worthy 'horn finish' image at 48:30.
A brilliant composition by Marcus Miller, well executed and well captured (kudos to the videographers).

Enjoy with Microsoft FxSound Equalizer app.

SMooth jazz:

Acid Jazz:

The transition period from classic and bluesy jazz to improvised jamsession fusion stuff:

Please be advised of the new [modified] Courtesy Rule for the Jazz Fusion/Smooth Jazz thread:

This Chuck Mangione classic Feels So Good starts out slow and mellow but then transitions to a high tempo/high energy piece.

My favorite segment is the splendid guitar solo at 05:22.

For all I know, I've already posted this, somewhere.
But black gold of the sun. Jazz with a beat before trap remixes and other nonsense became a thing. It is still jazz, and it is still smooth, but it isnt 'smooth jazz' in the strict sense. :)

Back when people put CD's with magazines and napster was a thing, I got this with a magazine that had 20 tracks that... absolutely pleased my soul.
Just the cream of the crop in every track. It had that 'Fast Car' tracy chapman song, a parody song where a guy ordered 20 hamburgers "AND A GREAT BIG MILKSHAKE" (not a grand theft auto thing, it was years before that), a live version of a blues traveler song and more.

Anywho, enjoy, fellows. :)

Trippy stuff. I imagine cruising around the city in a car, feeling like in an alien spaceship.

Classic composition and structure featuring a terrific piano solo occurring midway in.
This track is Grammy-nomination material [imo], yet received zero air play when it was released back in 2010.
Sadly, it's what happens without the benefit of marketing and/or name recognition.

Did someone mention Spyro Gyro earlier? Discovered them [and Jazz] while in college back in the 80's.
Here's a montage of a few of their hits ending with a killer drum-bass duet

What a treat!! Listen to and enjoy the perfect sound quality!
Give a thumbs up (y) if you like. Thanks.

Next up is perhaps the funkiest jazz-fusion tune that you'll ever hear.
Notable throughout the track is the unique and catchy rhythm which is eclipsed only by the sensational keyboard solo.
Enjoy!
