Jazz Fusion/Smooth Jazz

Love you guys' enthusiasm for the thread, but...
As a matter of courtesy, I implore all contributors to wait at least 24 hours after music is posted before submitting the next offering.
This gives each track ample exposure and the opportunity to "breathe" and resonate.
Thanks. :)

Re-post...

Here's perhaps the funkiest jazz-fusion tune that you'll ever hear.
Notable throughout the track is the unique and catchy rhythm which is eclipsed only by the sensational keyboard solo.
Enjoy!

Expect Nothing and Appreciate Everything

For all I know, I've already posted this, somewhere.
But black gold of the sun. Jazz with a beat before trap remixes and other nonsense became a thing. It is still jazz, and it is still smooth, but it isnt 'smooth jazz' in the strict sense. :)

Back when people put CD's with magazines and napster was a thing, I got this with a magazine that had 20 tracks that... absolutely pleased my soul.
Just the cream of the crop in every track. It had that 'Fast Car' tracy chapman song, a parody song where a guy ordered 20 hamburgers "AND A GREAT BIG MILKSHAKE" (not a grand theft auto thing, it was years before that), a live version of a blues traveler song and more.

Anywho, enjoy, fellows. :)

Yes, this is a great track, and I have probably posted this in the Chillout Music section. The vocals are sung by Jocelyn Brown, and this remix is by 4Hero and is and is classed as Intelligent Drum & Bass.
The original is a bit more straightforward, with a simpler rhythm.
If you like this I would check out their self-titled album which came out in 1997.

I'd also recommend 4Hero and their albums Two Pages and Creating Patterns which features music a lot like this as well :)

A new find, for me.
I find 'Like a Version' to be chill AF, most of the time. The reggae mix of Elton John's I'm Still Standing was nice, too. #MorningMusic

A jazzy version of Kylie Minogue? Yes plz.

Demonstrating their versatility and range, EWF [the greatest R&B band of all time] in full orchestra mode, delivers a
jazz fusion masterpiece... one of the most dynamic and ambitiously produced instrumental pieces ever conceived [imo].

It, perhaps, can best be described as a soundtrack to a lengthy, high intensity, chase scene in a movie.
So, buckle your seatbelt and hold on tight for a musical thrill ride you won't soon forget, filled with numerous twists and some surprising turns!

This is quintessential Joe Sample, perhaps the greatest jazz pianists of all time!
Check out his finger kinetics and laser in the zone focus as he "attacks" the piano.
