It's just that by your reasoning no statistics of the past is worth anything. Clinton (that was the 90s), Reagan (that was 80s) and so on. What's the point of reading history anymore if one is not gonna care about it, and dismiss it as the past? Or are you only doing that when you do not agree with it?

Brazil has the largest black population outside of Africa. While they say that there's racial harmony, the sad reality is that discrimination happens daily. There are very few blacks in position of power such as political offices, business, etc. Also, the definition of race is different than in the United States. In USA, if you have one drop of black blood, you're black. In Brazil, if you have at least one black ancestor, but look white, then you're white. So yes, one can be Brazilian and black, or white, or Indian. It's rumoured that George W. Bush nearly caused an international incident in 2002 when he asked the Brazilian president "Do you have blacks, too?"

Look at the attacks in the Phillipines and other nations in the world.

There has been religious zealots killing because you don't bow to the Christian God too. The Crusades, for example, or the Spanish Inquisition.
All these terrorist acts are performed by a minority, but Bush's war on terrorism are done with methods that punishes the majority for the acts of a minority.
