Which Fifa World Cup U Found Most Interesting

1982; actually I was only 1, but that was the last cup we (Italy) won...
Baggio is not a loser, I may not say that about the person who wrote this crap

2002 brought up a final with two great nations of World Cup history Brazil - Germany, but wasn't a great tournament for many others. Otherwise it was interesting to see Korea Republic and Turkey reaching the Semi-finals or Senegal for example.

1998 showed an incredible playing French team, I would say this was my favourite.

In 2006 I liked four European teams reaching the Semi-finals, but I missed the African teams, who didn't play to good.

In the senventies the Netherlands played a great football in 1974 and 1978.

The one when Roberto Carlos made the most amazing free kick in history, i don't remember which year.

1994 for me. It was the first World Cup where i fully understood what was going on. Having seen the final 4 years earlier I was exicted and as a 9 year old just was just delighted to see football on TV every day.

If You think of this goal against France

than it must have been a friendly.
Brazil hasn't scored against France on a World Cup since 1986 ;)
and not won since 1958 :D
And it was also not a Confederations Cup.

Another Roberto Carlos goal

That wasn't a World Cup. If I remember correctly it was in the Touloun Tournament, which consisted of Brazil, England, Italy and Brazil where that goal was scored.

It's the one when he does a super curve shot.

Italy 1990 was my favorite in living memory so far.

Scotland coming so close but so far (as usual ),the run of the Cameroons and watching England
coming 4th - great entertainment.

Spain in 1982 was a pretty good one too but I can rarlely remember that now as I was only 5.I can
remember sitting on my fathers knee watching it though :)

that I saw live it was 2006... Italy winning the 4th title!!!

of highlights I seen I think of the 1982... great match by Italy against Brazil (phenomenal team) and also the 1970 with the most amazing match in the history of the World Cups... Italy vs Germany (semi-finals)!!!

I hope I can find in the internet the full game!!

My favorite World Cup was 1994. I was 16 at the time and I was lucky enough to get to watch one of the games at nearby Giants Stadium. I forget though who the teams were. No one big, but it was still quite a thrill.

2006 was the best for Australia, we played well and were completely dudded by the ref against Italy :( I didn't find it the best world cup though - 1978 was the 1st I can remember and seeing the images of the tickertape in the opening ceremony I was like "WOW soccer!" Watching replays from that tournament of Archie Gemmils goal vs Holland and Kempes' hat-trick is special to me. I think the 1990 was the best tournament Ive seen tho with Milla, Scillaci and Gascoigne lighting up the competition dont think any World cup has had so many great heroes from losing teams before.

dubbed??? why???? a penalty kick in the last minute that I heard some guys from the media here in Brazil saying it was penalty kick and some said it wasn't!!!

but when people comes to mind about this game... they only refer to the penalty kick but what about the red card to Materazzi... he didn't had yellow card and that foul was yellow card only!!

after that... Italy went to defensive only going in counter-attacks which worked fine and we won and then we became the champions!!

well I say it wasnt a penalty...clumsy lunge by Neill made it appear like 1. plus it was past the time ref should have blown for time.
we outplayed Japan, Croatia held Italy to what should have been a draw and only got beat by Brazil fair and square so good world cup. Even if we were DUDDED and a **** team won the comp.

I was in Arizona when this was happening,so I didn't really see much of it.I can only remember trying to catch the highlights after a days tour.

I remember stopping at Chicago on the way to Phoenix and the place was full of Germans....it took ****** ages to get through immigration that day :(

This thread is old, start a new one for this World Cup if u want. I'd say 2002 as South Korea had a good run but the final was poor, as was the 1998 final with Ronaldo and his epileptic fit which had Roberta Carlos running around calmly telling everyone that he was dead!
