BNF just did it because he was jealous that he can't get past 10 rep! I also notice that while everyone else is at 0, he made sure to keep his 10.

well unfortunately, the numbers will get out of hand once again because of that one thread. there is a way around it though. just get rid of rep points. keep the comments and such, but lose the superficial aspect of the rep system. :2 cents:

Because I don't. It was only ever useful as a small, quick PM after the first 4 or 5 months. That is after the daft random repping started.

You really can "opt-out". Ok, not in appearance, but for real you can not give rep and don't need to read comments. (Even for the most hardcore anti-repper, that's still tough to do..)

Remembering back to when it all started, it does take a certain amount of "0" rep hits to get to one point. So, the first few rep hits you give and get don't advance the number to 1, but it does actually move it fractionally.

I think the reset was a good idea - a clean slate.

Honestly this is the only board I've ever been on with a rep system. I still don't really see the point. You don't need to see numbers to workout a good member from a bad IMO.

Something weird certainly went on here last night I'll tell you that!

I was in games (I'm sure somebody else saw it on the board somewhere) and poggy1's sig turned into this HUGE pic of fall leaves, bright orange and golds. :eek:Taking forever to load and I didn't even bother scrolling the 10 inches across then down to see the whole pic. After about 5 min it just changed back. Just my :2 cents:

I forgot to note. poggy1 wasn't on when it happened.
