If i had to pick just one for a personal favorite, it would be Army of Darkness. Not really scary even by cheesy horror standards, but it's truly a cult classic.

ooh, and how about the original Alien? I don't care who you are, that movie was fuckin scary the first time you saw it.

As for the best horror movie of all time, I think it's arguably Night of the living dead. That is the movie that created modern day horror cinema.

I love horror movies, the gorier and more cheesy the better. I hope that we get some more replies to this thread.

I remember the trailer for alien, being shown as a preview before another film I went to see.
It's not so much what you see in the trailer, it's the eerie 'music' that accompanies it.. I couldn't bring myself to even watch the trailer at the time.

Some make you jump or give you the creeps, but truely scaring you?

Blair Witch did scare the crap out of me. The unknown shits me up, and that movie was a masterpiece of the unknown.
