Whats Your Favorite Horror/gore Movies

granted that there are some movies that have made me jump out of my seat a little but there is only one movie that scared me so much that it made me change my behavore. it was jaws. not only is it the scarest movie ever but it is one of the best movies ever.

Jaws was mega awesome back in the day . . . Now with all the new technology since then, the SHARK looks Mega fake and kinda silly.

The problem with Dead Alive (Braindead) is it wasnt scary...at all. It was just really disgusting and funny. If a movie is gonna go all out and be uber-gore, why not make it a little scary as well?

I'm due to be getting Cannibal Holocaust uncut version pretty soon. I've not actually seen it yet but heard about some amazing things. It was that shocking that the movie makers actually had to legally prove that it wasn't a snuff movie! Though humans were not killed in the making animals were. There are some scenes involving a pig getting shot and a large turtle having its shell ripped off and the contents eaten - for real!!!

Cannibal Holocaust isn't a very good movie but the gore is incredible. The last 20 minutes are brutal. The movie would be good if it wasn't for the animals being slaughtered. Too many animals are killed(The turtle scene is unwatchable for me) in this movie.

Nice to see someone watching real horror though instead of the typical hollwood shit that is released relentlessly.

I have to fast forward the mongoose squishing that rodent (I dont know what it is). That shit is unbearable. You can actually hear that thing screaming....

you have to categorize horror movies like slashers and gore fest.. then my favorite the funny ones like final destination 1 and 2. i grew up in the 80's and like the riday the 13, nightmare on elmstreet series. then the classics like april fools day and its my party :thefinger

I have to agree Shaun of the Dead was fucking awesome!!

Good gore and funny as hell

As for Japanese horror I've only seen a few and was not very impressed.

I heard very good things about Audition and Versus but I found Audition boring and the ending was crap. As for Versus I found it to be a complete waste of time, one of the worst movies I've seen all year.

I did enjoy Battle Royale though and I'm still trying to find a copy of Ichi the Killer which I'm dying to see.
