:) :wave2: It takes me a while....I may have a lot of posts, but they are carefully chose pearls of wisdom and experience.... :D sarcasm

Not strictly speaking a horror film, but I thought John Carpenter's 'The Thing' was pretty gruesome .

I agree 100%....a modern day classic, gruesome, scary, horrifying.

I also loved the first Evil Dead movie which i hear Sam Rammi is remaking....wish he wouldnt but if he does it i guess thats ok.

A good choice my very young apprentice.

Since this thread keeps popping up, I might aswell give yoe my 2 cents.
I'm not a big Horror fan but used to be. The few movies I still really like in that genre are
The Excorcist
Psycho
(and if you want to include it as a horror movie...)
Invasion of the body snatcher (the 1978 version with Donald Sutherland and Leonard Nimoy)

Good choices Wanker,Invasion is a great flick.I havent seen that one in years....

Then go for it! :)
The ending is fucking creepy.

Another fantastic movie I just got through watching is called "Haute (High) Tension"! Holy fuck, that movie was amazing! I recomend any horror fan to see this immediatly! You can buy it on Ebay for about 10 bux + shipping but BE SURE to get the Thailand version, its the only one available with english dubbing AND uncut. Its fucking awesome. See it now.

Seen it , love it , have it bro . . MEGa AwEsOme flICk..

I was slightly disappointed with the ending of Haute Tension but the movie up to that point was amazingly brutal so it didn't bother me much.

Check out Beyond the Darkness .....All out brutal goreyness ......

I just saw the Dawn of the Dead Remake and I must say that I didn't really like it. It was very predictable.

The Unrated directors cut of Dawn is now one of my favorite zombie movies of all time.

I was actually kind of disappointed with Beyond the Darkness. I found it slow and the scenes of gore very tame. Still worth watching though.

Yeah, the pace is slow . . i didnt really care . . It was boss imo.
