This topic fascinated me so this past few months I have tried: firefox, avant, opera, and maxathon (myIE2) did online research on them and tried each one for a few weeks. Firefox has been consistent the only thing against it is there are times when i get the message "operation timed-out" and can't get to the website I tried going to, also there are some sites which only works with IE which makes avant, opera and maxathon useful since they rely on IE. Avant, opera and maxathon have more features than firefox including viewing all tabs at the same time as well as having your last page before closing opened next time you go online. Since I use dial-up, the problem I have with Avant is that it is too slow. Opera claims to be the fastest browser but in general firefox is faster for me plus the free version of opera has ads on top. Maxathon is very good on my opinion, it has all the features of firefox plus it is compatible with IE only sites.

Lastly the latest netscape version now has tabbed browsing and promises to be faster, I read somewhere that it is powered by mozilla firefox so I guess it is better than previous versions.http://channels.netscape.com/ns/browsers/why.jsp

For people who use firefox but need an IE based browser and don't want to rely on Microsoft there''s an alternative. ENIGMA uses all the IE runtime libraries but supposedly w/o the security issues plus there's tabbed browsing for those who need it and it's tweaked all right.
Also a useful thing: Lynx, text based browsing, especially useful for Webmasters and the like.

ie 6.0 is a decent browser

firefox powns in my opinion. Multi tab is the shizat.

MyIe2 or maxthon, i used to use it except it is very inefficient, takes up memory, system resources and for me it crashes while i surf porn which is VERY anoying.

Does it work for you here at Freeones?
It never did for me only Internet Explorer.
Has something to do with the scripts I've been told which is too bad 'cause I like Opera better then Internet Explorer.

Does Mozilla have tabs on top...like netscape...hate Internet explorer because no tabs you open up three webpages fills up your toolbar on the bottom...i think the new IE 7.0 on the new microsoft vista operating system will have the tab feature...

Safari eh?...thats a new one for me...I also tried one before called Opera...something like that...didnt like it...Gonna see if i can find Safari..thanks for the new info! :glugglug:

I like firefox for all the plugins and features it has. Plus it is a lot safer than IE.
