I still wish Netscape could and would get it right. It was my first browser, and it was great, but it got so fucking clunky and junky. When it went from Navigator to Communicator, it went to shit...

my laptop does not have much disk space to download and try opera, safari and avant, wish someone could compare them with mozilla firefox (I like firefox but of course if there is something better out there I'd go for it).

Nightfly, it appears you are testing different browsers, hope you could tell me your comparisons (excluding netscape and IE since I'm sure we all have tried them already)

The Avant and Firefox browsers are tiny downloads. Try them on your laptop. I guess Safari is Mac only, so I won't be trying that (my Macs are retired).

FireFox kicks ass. It lacks several key amenities that IE has (like integrating with Outlook - the best mail and contacts, calendar program EVER lol) but you can get some really cool skins for FireFox. Hell, one of them even makes it look just like Netscape! Very cool!

I have been using firefox for several months now...it rocks but I heard Opera or is it avant is much faster:dunno: wonder how they compare with firefox

anyhow if it is a small download maybe I'll try it.

i didn''t like IE for couple of reasons, so i installed Netscape and like it, but some guys talked me into mozilla firefox, so when i reinstalled my computer i installed firefox instead of netscape, as an extra browser, i don't like it that lots of sites aren't compatible with firefox, when i reinstall my computer again, it will be netscape for me again!

I use FireFox, IE has too many security problems and the popup blocker on FF is fucking amazing. Whenever I use someone elses computer and I'm forced to use IE i'll get a popup within just a few sites and i'll be like WTF, I haven't seen one of those in a while.

Safari. Not much reason to stray. Perfect pop-up blocking, plus I've got a free plug-in installed that blocks 99% of ads automatically . I use Firefox or IE on my PC. Opera is good and fast, and Avant has lots of great features, but Firefox is safe, secure, fast, and elegant. Same goes for Safari, but as noted, that's Mac only.
